This book is like cotton candy: light and wispy and very quickly melts on your tongue. A super fast burn with adventure, spice, drama and a HEA. The writing reminds me very much of watching an anime. Very over the top emotions, very blunt dialogue, very quick, fast-paced scenes. The villain does that thing where he’s like, “Did you really think I’d leave you without restraints?” when he captures the female lead. Everything is told to us. Also, magic conveniently fixes most things. This is really just a fun, quick read that is all fantasy. Nothing wrong with that.
However, there were several grammatical errors in my copy, and some phrases did get a bit repetitive. I also didn’t like that the fae spoke like humans (from Scotland with random lass/lad thrown in there by literally just the MMC), but they have never interacted with humans?? But just suspend your belief, sit back and enjoy the chaotic fantasy ride.
Some tropes I noticed:
  • Fated mates
  • Fae x human pairing
  • Virgin FMC
  • Possessive MMC
  • Touch-her/him-and-die

A lovely, cozy, adorable read. An orc and human pairing with plenty of bumps and heartfelt moments along the way. This author does a great job with the world building and creating lovable, dynamic characters. Absolutely love their work. This story is more slice-of-life, cozy village vibes. Perfect for reading if you’re in the mood for a sweet and spicy, yet tender and emotional monster romance. In the beginning, you’re mostly rooting for these silly gooses to get their act together. Miscommunication is a big opponent for this couple, but they quickly learn to talk things out, so it’s not too bad. Towards the end, you do get more sad and tense moments, but the resolution is so satisfying and endearing, that all is forgiven.
Some tropes that I noticed:
- Orc & human romance
- Forced proximity
- Forced marriage
- Reluctant strangers to lovers
- Age gap
- Protective MMC
- Consent King & Queen
- Gift giving as form of love language
- Fish-out-of-water type story

Fated mates, vampire alien monster romance. Need I say more? This is book one of the Brides of Kyloraseries and BOY what a start it is! A true enemies-to-lovers, slow burn with yearning, some groveling, tons of “my wife,” spicy spice. Honestly, this is a great distraction book with tense vibes early on, and cozy vibes throughout the middle. It does have emotional parts, but it’s a charming “hate-that-I-love-you” love story for the most part. And that world building!! Holy smokes, what an imaginative narrative! It didn’t get too SciFi, it was a great balance of futuristic tech and old-world charm. Not too complicating, but still very interesting. Definitely don’t go into this wanting Star Wars vibes, but you do get glimpses of spaceships and hologram-like tech, so it’s still really fun. The only thing that knocks down points for me would be that my copy contained some grammatical errors, but it wasn’t too bad. All in all, the setting was awesome, the characters are definitely lovable (even the mean sister grew on me lol). Side note, there’s something to say about a hot alien vampire that hates the FMC’s guts, but can’t keep his hands off her, and that something is: HOT DAMN! 👀
Some tropes I noticed:
  • Fated Mates
  • Enemies-to-lovers
  • Vampire alien & human
  • 30 yr old FMC
  • Older sister sacrificing herself for family
  • She falls first, he falls harder
  • Protective touch-her-and-die MMC
  • Needs her blood to be stronger
  • Lots of blood!
  • Futuristic vibes mixed with a Gothic or Medieval castle/keep setting
  • Ends in HEA

Such a good alien romance! The pacing is a bit on the slower side, and some parts felt like they were dragging a bit with their internal monologues being more tell than show, but overall it was a delicious, fun read. More lighthearted and cozy than the title might suggest with the term “crime boss.” The MMC definitely is a crime boss, and we do get his gritty past told to us, but it’s in flashback form, and only brief descriptions of his hard former life. There is plenty of action towards the end of the book though!
At first, what I didn’t particularly like was the FMC. She was great and relatable for the most part, but it was so annoying how she reacted to finding out that the MMC is an alien, especially considering that she’s part of the Monster Fcker romance club!? Girl, have you no shame!? lol but seriously, her being a monster romance reader helped to move their relationship along so I loved that for her, but her initial reaction was silly. And then, they have a heart-to-heart conversation soon after, where she annoyingly thinks “Everything about this situation, about him, should’ve urged her to run.” Girl, you already did run!?? You ran outside during a blizzard like an idiot?? Remember?? She just sounded dumb sometimes. She won me over by the end though! It was really just very brief moments that threw me off a bit.
All in all, this was very well written, with enough plot, spice, and coziness to make for a damn good read. Highly recommend, and I will definitely be reading more from these authors.
Some tropes:
  • Crime boss protective alien MMC
  • Innocent yet sassy FMC
  • Double… erm.. you know whats
  • Forced proximity
  • Secret identity
  • Small town drama
  • Touch-her-and-die
  • Fated mates vibes
  • Cozy cabin setting

I’m not sure why the author would go so far out of their way to make us hate Sav, but damn did I hate her for most of this book! I get that they betrayed her with their eyes or some sh!t, but girl get a grip. What a cold-hearted menace. But I guess that’s the point?? Sad nerdy girl gets betrayed by the look in her men’s eyes so she becomes an evil girlboss who hates men. Cool cool. Anyway, the book is well written. The few characters mentioned are excellent (I’m in love with Jude), except for the stubborn FMC in my humble, silly opinion. There is a difference between not being a doormat and being a heartless, stubborn jerk. But I guess that’s also the point, she hides behind a mask, takes any excuse to hate them, because she’s scared they will eventually leave her. I get it, the author is trying to show that she’s no longer the innocent bookworm, but is still human and a coward. Totally relatable, but ngl it was hard to read her back-and-forth “should I forgive them or move on” nonsense. Also, Beck and Ash disappear for a good while. Would have loved more scenes with them. Cool storytelling for the most part. The spice was very well done and sprinkled throughout, much like the first. Although, this book does have one scene with all of them…together…if you know what I mean. We do get more yearning and tension as the guys wait for their Butterfly. I’m just glad they do finally get their HEA! I do highly recommend the first book if you’re into RH, college football romance, so you will definitely need to read this second part to get to that satisfying ending!
Tropes I noticed:
Third chance romance
Reverse harem
Billionaire romance
Mystery/thriller vibes
Single dad romance
Light football romance
Forced proximity

I don’t normally read college romances, they’re not really my jam. Especially not football college romances. But the premise of this one intrigued me. At first, it really didn’t grab my attention, it felt very two-dimensional, and surface level. It might have just been the comically huge font. Not sure if it was just my copy, but at least I didn’t strain my eyes too much. Once I managed to push past the first two chapters, it got very good. I don’t know how to emphasize enough how amazing this book is, how well written and attention grabbing it gets. The characters are so lovable, the plot is great, and the spice is top notch. I will say that there is minimal spicy scenes, considering this is a RH, but what little there is, is intense. And the yearning! The tension
However, had I known that the next book takes place 5 years after the first.. five years! I never would have picked it up. How could the author do that to us?? Introduce the most adorable, hilarious (Jude), and broken characters that finally found each other after such tragic pasts, then tell us that they spent five years without each other. Five years of suffering? For what?? Guess I’m going to have to read it to find out the author’s justification for the emotional damage. I’m being dramatic, but you really do fall in love with these goofballs! And come to find out from an Amazon review that the next book is not all about Ash groveling and begging for forgiveness, that he’s barely in it!? Nah, I just don’t believe it.

Anyway, highly recommend this book if you want to torture yourself in the best way. It’s definitely cathartic for any nerdy girls out there who dreamt of being with the popular guy. Now image four hot popular guys chasing you.
Here are some tropes I noticed:
Reverse harem
Football romance
College romance
Cinderella vibes
Forced proximity
Only one bed, for a moment
Hidden identity
Touch-her-and-get-hurt
Evil stepsister/mother
Tragic past
Dual POV
Found family vibes, for a brief moment, can you tell I’m bitter about that ending 😑

An absolute delight! Because it’s so short, my expectations were not too high, but this book knocked it out of the park! It’s short, but packed with action, adventure, extra steamy spice, and an adorable love story. Not to mention, the most badass heroine I have read thus far! Basically, our FMC is a rough and tough guard for her small group of humans that are residing in orc territory. We get fighting scenes right away, and a chance meeting with our sexy orc MMC. The good kind of chaos ensues! Also, the FMC is the domme and it’s super HOT. He’s a big, strong chief orc, but when they’re alone, he can’t say no to her 🥵
Much like the characters, the world building is also fantastic. It’s a historical fantasy; however, the characters talk in a more modern dialogue. The orcs and humans speak the same language, which helps the pacing move a bit faster.
Here are some tropes for ya if I haven’t convinced you yet:
💚 Forbidden love monster & human romance
⚔️ Sassy badass warrior FMC
🫖 Protective teddy bear MMC
💚 He falls first, and hard
⚔️ touch her/him and die tag team
💚 HEA

Holy $hit, this book actually made me cry.. I’m not usually the type of person to cry over a book, but this one really got me at one point. At its core, this is a monster romance/smut with a vampire and human couple. But it’s so much MORE! Highly recommend if you are looking for a steamy, emotional, Sapphic vampire romance. However, I also recommend it for anyone who has struggled with feeling unworthy or unlovable. This story is so sweet, I just can’t get over how BEAUTIFUL their relationship is 😭
I don’t want to give too much away, but it is a bittersweet story with mentions of death and the fleeting wonder that is a human life, so be prepared. The plot is basically these two knuckleheads yearning after one another, but we do get internal struggles and character development for both MCs. Plus, we get visits from characters from previous books! Here are some quick tropes for ya in case I have not convinced you yet:
Possessive vampire badass
Sweet and adorkable human
K!nk exploration
BDSM
Bi and Lesbian rep
Chronic pain rep
Lots of angsty yearning!
Slow burn
Third-act breakup :( but HOT make up ;)

Very interesting dark monster romance/smut. Interesting premise, some twists and turns that I did NOT see coming, Christmas themed inter-dimensional adventures and some fated mates-type spice. I don’t want to spoil anything, but the revelation in this book was inspired and really made me think about the stories that we tell, the good vs. evil tropes, and the religious rhetoric that I have heard since birth. I might be over dramatizing due to my religious trauma, but this book really caught me off guard for a second there! All in all, it was a fun, albeit intense in places, jolly good time! ;) Both MCs are adorable together and I love each of their personalities. The only thing that bothered me a bit was that the MMC’s dialogue was not consistent throughout the book. At first, we read that he has been imprisoned for a very long time (centuries??), and is confused about the word “police.” But then quickly knows what a “bus driver” is and talks like a foul-mouthed modern-day Mafia boss?? It’s not that big of an issue, and it did move the story along, so I do understand!
Tropes include:
Possessive MMC
Innocent FMC
Touch-her-and-die
Fated mate bond
Light dom/sub
Dirty talking MMC
Light breeding kink
Age gap (FMC: 19 yrs, MMC: Ancient??)
Beauty and the Beast vibes

This is a collection of short and spicy stories loosely connected via the Monster Menagerie facility, although one or two do not mention it at all. They are monster and human pairings, F/M (with the exception of the first story, it’s M/F/M). All of the stories are adorable and super fun! The FMCs are relatable and make all the right choices ;) lol!
I will say that the endings are bittersweet because, although we do get spicy and satisfying endings, we don’t get full resolutions. One story does get a full, albeit quick, HEA resolution, but the majority of the stories do end abruptly. It might be better this way though, because we get to come up with our own imaginary ideas, like filling in the blanks, if you will. All of the stories had very interesting plots and the most dreamy monster MMC!
