The Gratitude Prescription: Harnessing the Power of Thankfulness for Healing and Happiness by Will Pye
5.0
Will Pye has written a fabulous book full of practical exercises, affirmations and meditations than even the most busy of people like myself. The way it is written is in conversational writing style that has the feel of your own private lessons with Will Pye. Love the personal story how this worked for author and why he followed the path to learn these techniques. I also loved how he finished the chapters is just so up lifting. I would recommend this to anyone after a self-help book that can bring happiness, de-stressing and self healing into their lives.
Any Ordinary Day: Blindsides, Resilience and What Happens After the Worst Day of Your Life by Leigh Sales

I wonderful book of stories from people who had to deal with love once that died unexpectedly or tragically. Lessons in learn to deal with grief on a personal and communal level. Very inspiring. Well worth the read either as a noob or a friend/acquaintance or family member. Also interesting insight and reflection on the role of media/journalists in harm and help in these trying tomes for people. The person touch from Lee's life rounds off the book nicely.

Absolutely loved listening to this book in fact I had trouble pausing it. Full of interesting detail and moments that made be laugh out loud. Even though he is my favorite singer the book shows what an inspiring person he is and how he never gave up. Could not stop talking about this at work.

Wonderful funny and like my one of my favorite tv shows M.A.S.H between the humour the real issues of what soldiers especially pilots faced. It took abit to get my head around some of the time jumps but once I did I found the character development superb from cheer some characters, hating the up brase and crying for the passing of other characters.

I have more appreciation for the Gould League and the scientific artist Elizabeth Gould in a time where study natures animals meant killing them. Elizabeth create some of the best rendering of Australian fora and furna. I especially loved reading about the Australian expedition and felt the heart ache around either loosing children or sick children. She was the super mum of her time.

Interesting book look at homeless living in Melbourne. It felt like you were also in the same prostration as the main character. Could not press stop on this audio book. The narrator really pulls you in to this story. Unlike Mark Brandi's other book I found this had a better ending where it was more rounded off than truncated.
Gap Year in Ghost Town by Michael Pryor

I DID IT!!!
I have finished this epic insightful look at who this awsome aboriginal person a saw on TV s few times was. I did find the book hard going in the density, issues and the real insight going on with Native Title and the raw deal that our first Australians have been dealt and in large part have accepted. That made me feel guilty amd ashamed. I found it sad that the ideas Tracker had most never saw the light, if they did the world would be changed for the better. It took abit to get into it due to the different cultural way of telling the story but found it more fulfilling than the standard western linear way of telling someone story. This was more raw, beautiful, funny and eye opening this way.
Well worth the read.

What a gem of a book, was looking for another book but my favorite book shop just got this Gem today.
Some new and interesting fermentation drinks from around the work with easy to follow instruction, history of certain drinks. Also new techniques I like to try too. Loved some of the history of fermentation with human civilization growth. Can't wait to start but need sleep and then Kombucha making starts tomorrow.
So recommended this to beginners to advanced skilled fermenters. Just honestly could not put it down. Read in 5hrs (includes vid call to mum to talk about the book).
