Yeah, I did not like this book and just ended up DNFing it and reading the SparkNotes for the last like 6 chapters. I'm sorry to all of you who loved this book, it just wasn't for me! 🙈 I just felt it was overall really boring and everyone except Anne annoyed the heck out of me. I mean Captain Wentworth was okay later in the book but still.
Wonder Woman: Warbringer by Leigh Bardugo
I was basically struggling through this entire book until the end. By no means the worst book, but definitely not something I absolutely loved. I will say that the characters were my favorite part of this book and probably the reason I kept pushing through.

Okay, I seriously don't think I can say enough amazing things about this short story! It's honestly probably one of my favorite short stories I've read. It was heartbreaking, it was intense, and it was heartwarming in the end. I was left wanting more of their lovely story. This definitely had me feeling all of the feelings you should feel with a good story.

Just finished this book today and throroughly enjoyed this book and series as a whole! I don't think I was as emotionally invested in book three as I was in book two but it was still fantastic. I did feel the ending was a little rushed in some areas but I thought everything kind of wrapped up nicely. I did enjoy the very last chapter with Logan and Rachel though. My favorite part of this series was for sure our two main characters and I just really enjoyed their relationship and interactions and it made me very emotional.
I can definitely understand why people wouldn't enjoy this series but it's something I really enjoyed. I really loved the characters, I loved C.J. Redwine's writing and it kept me interested and wanting to keep going. It may not be everyone's cup of tea but definitely a solid four stars for me. 💗

*Maybe a 3.75 or 3.80?*
I'm going to start off by saying that this was not the most amazing or mind blowing novel I've ever read. It was pretty standard and typical YA. The world building and plot were nothing special but despite all of that, it kept me interested and overall I enjoyed it. I still want to read the other two books, so that means something was done right. I was never annoyed with the plot or hated anything, it just was nothing special and did feel a little shallow at times.
What I DID like about this book;
1. C.J. Redwine's writing. I thought it was beautiful and descriptive while never being over the top. I'm starting to realize how much I don't like first person POV, especially when we have multiple character chapters. I feel it can be a little annoying and awkward and when we have multiple character's it can just be confusing. I often can't remember what character the chapter is being told by if it's not distinct enough or not done right by the author. I didn't feel like that at all while reading this book! It all flowed really nicely and each character was distinct and different.
2. The characters. I loved these characters and loved getting to know them. They were flawed, made stupid decisions sometimes, and were relatively interesting.
3. The romance. I think Logan and Rachael are my new favorite ship! There was a bit of hate to love (one of my favorite tropes), they supported each other, and in times of hardship and grief they stood by each other and crawled through together. I also really like the way these characters dealt with grief, and the different ways they dealt with it. I felt like it was done in a really great way.
So yeah, overall there was a lot of things I enjoyed! Nothing extremely mind blowing, but definitely enough to make me want to read the other two books in the series. I read this book in a whole day and a little exhausted from it so I'm not immediately jumping into book two. I started another book and then will be reading it.

I absolutely loved this book so much more then I thought I would. I absolutely love this world C.J has built for us. I'm knocking off a star because some parts kind of dragged on for me and Lorelai felt like a Mary Sue character at times and I also felt like a few other characters were underdeveloped. Other then that I really enjoyed it though. I personally loved Kol and his whole kingdom and species and honestly would love a whole book about him. 😂 I also loved the romance in this and shipped them s lot. That epilogue made me cry. 😭
Hamilton: The Revolution by Jeremy McCarter, Lin-Manuel Miranda

I already knew how amazing this musical was and a little about how and why it was created but after reading this book Hamilton amazes me even more (I didn't even know that was possible.) It was so incredible to see in depth what went into creating this, how people felt, how it made people feel, etc. I also adored the footnotes for the songs and seeing Lin-Manuel Miranda's thought process while writing and of course the absolutely gorgeous photos scattered throughout this book.
Overall and absolutely amazing book and if you loved this musical you will LOVE reading this book.

I was not ready for this book, oh my gosh! I absolutely loved it. 😍 The world was so facinating and kept me hooked. I was debating whether I should give this 4 or 4.5 stars but I think in going for a solid 4 stars. Just because I wasn't as emotionally involved with the characters and a few plot points were a bit predictable but other then that I loved it. 😍

Wow, okay well this book destroyed all my emotions. 😂 It's so rare for me to be able to finish a book in less than 24 hours but since I had the day off I just devoured this book. I read about a hundred or so pages last night and then finished the rest on this lovely Sunday. The only other book I've read in this series is Throne of Glass but after reading this collection of novellas I felt like I had such a better understanding of Celaena. I felt she was okay in book one but I wasn't like in love with her when finishing it. Though after reading this I love her so much more and in a way really connected with her. I also really enjoyed getting a better understanding of the world in itself. In Throne of Glass we're pretty much stuck in the castle but these stories are told in a couple different places and I enjoyed that. I'm now so excited to dive more into this series. 💗
