Compared to the others, this book was somewhat of a disappointment.

Extremely disappointed in how this series ended, and how BORING this book was. The whole series was an interesting premise, although I felt like 95% of this book was Kate "checking" in on her baby, pining away for her son, and saying things like "I'm going to rip your head off when I get the chance!" to Calliope and Cronus.

I also felt like a lot of the book was "no Kate, you can't fight! It takes too long to learn how to." and he whining about wanting to DO something, but being helpless.

Felt Rhea's "defeat" of Chronus was comparable to a balloon full of air being let go - all that and what a waste. Same as her healing of Henry.

I so enjoyed the first three books, esp the first one, but this was just a terrible ending. I had a hard time making myself finish this book.

If you have not read the first books in the Goddess Series, be aware there are spoilers

Background: Last we checked Kate was taken by Calliope upon leaving to search for Rhea. We start nine months later as she is about to give birth to her son in the confines of Calliope and Cronus. The war is escalating and Cronus is almost free of his confines. The gods and goddesses are planning for war and have just realized that Kate is being held captive instead of searching.

Review: This was a wonderful ending to this series. Wow. I ran through it. OK so the plot started right where it needed to, no months of waiting for the birth of Kate's son, just immediate action. Following this there is a lot of war planning and behind the scenes scheming and so you never knew who was on what side and how they were reacting. Very fast paced compared to the other books.

I felt like Kate finally grew. I have always liked Kate, she is independent and speaks her mind when she needs to...which would normally get her into trouble. She has learned to tone this down a little but express the important info. She learned how to be more compassionate as well. In this installment, the focus of the characters was really to show sacrifice and confidence in decisions. I think a lot of the characters expanded their personalities and I learned to like a few more of the gods.

Now for a few issues, I felt there were some points left open at the end. There were still assignments given out and even the blurb at the end of the book said "And so the Goddess Test series concludes -- for now" ummmm... For Now?! will there be more? off-shoots? Novellas? I need to know !!!! But I guess that I have to wait :(

This series just got better and better.. The love triangle between Kate, Henry and Kronos.. The triangle between Kate, Henry and Calliope.. Calliopes obnoxious behavior towards Milo, who she kept calling Callum and made me wanna shout, '' HIS NAME IS MILO, you .. you cunt. ;k ''

Most of the people Í heard talking about the Goddesstest series weren't too excited about it, but I definitely will be reading the other books.

I can't wait to see what happends next.

After all these years, I’m happy to say that this series still holds up, and this one is the best of them all.

The last book of the series.
Somehow I thought that there were 5 books in this series. How I came to that? I have no idea.
So I felt quite bad when I started reading it because first, I thought that I had two books to go after this one, but then it seemed that it already was the last one.

--- SPOILER ALERT!! WATCH OUT! SPOILERS! ---

The beginning of the book was AMAZING, when Kate seemed to be pregnant and she was locked up. Her baby should be taken away. I had no idea how she would come out of this situation. My thoughts could almost not handle it; WHAT WOULD HAPPEN?!

I read further and further, as fast as I could because I wanted to know everything so bad.
Some happenings were amazing. It couldn't have been any different. But the reason I have this book 3 stars is because of the middle of the book. There was a big fight and it took so long! Too long for me. I just wanted to know how it would end!

In my head, it looked like Kate was at Calliope, home, Calliope, home, Calliope, home... There was no ending. I read so fast, again, because of the same reason: i wanted to know it.

For me, this was the most similar reason to give it 3 stars.

The end of the book was perfect for me. Even though how or what, if you know what i mean, the way it was told was perfect. I will not give any more spoilers now haha!

It was poorly written, but at least the trilogy is over.

What it's about: The final book in the Goddess series. The final battle.

What I thought: The perfect ending to the perfect series.

At the end of The Goddess Interrupted, we were left with the killer cliff-hanger - Kate is pregnant, and Calliope has kidnapped her. Now we come in almost 9 months after that end. Kate is almost ready to have her baby, while still in Calliope's clutches, and the Gods are getting ready for a war with Cronus. Anything goes in The Goddess Inheritance, and unlikely twists abound. This book has everything. Old characters, new characters, action, heart-ache and love. Plus you won't believe what happens at the end - I certainly didn't!

This book kept me up late into the wee hours in the morning, because I literally could not put it down. I was anxious to know everything, all at once, and had to constantly slow myself down so as to not miss out on any of the awesome. You're in for a real treat for the finale book in this wonderful series, and I'm really sad to see it end.

What I would love to see now, is a spin-off series about James! Pretty please?!

The Good: Everything was wrapped up beautifully. While it wasn't completely the 'perfect ending' per se, I enjoyed it so much.

The Bad: Kate Winters, why must you be so annoying? Quit your whining.

Rating: 4 Bookstacks

Content warnings: death, destruction, war, forced pregnancy, kidnapping of child, kidnapping of adult

Before I start this review I need to clarify something. I see "mythology" as religion. Because it is in fact, religion. Typically it's a religion that isn't widely practised any more and potentially not practised at all. The term mythology also tends to be used for just about any religious practice that is not a branch of Christianity. IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH ME USING THE PHRASE RELIGION/RELIGIOUS PRACTICE IN PLACE OF MYTHOLOGY DO NOT READ ANY OF MY REVIEWS FOR THIS SERIES.

This book was definitely a ride.

I mean first off you start with Calliope making Kate get pregnant the first time after their marriage that Kate and Henry have sex. Then you have her abducting Kate and Ava is complicit in helping with the abduction.

Yeah there's a lot of plot points that are so blatantly obvious that it made me want to smack the characters. And Kate and her lack of communication with people. Geesh. Not only that but her obliviousness to really obvious things.

Despite all that I still enjoyed the book. Mostly because Ancient Greek religion put in modern day times. Not modern enough to have cell phones apparently but modern enough to have cars.

The book makes it out like there's this big huge choice that Kate has to make. That's a lie. Because obviously things work out in our hero's favours. It's kind of sad that Ava died because even though a lot of her actions were wrong we also find out that she's basically being manipulated by everyone else.

And Walter's ignorance and shit annoyed the fuck out of me. Just because you're the current king of the Gods doesn't mean that you automatically know what's best. Nor does it mean that you get to use everyone else as your pawn to do your bidding. I think that's one of the things that irritated me the most. Is how callous he was in using Kate and Ava to his own ends and viewed them as "necessary sacrifices".

I think Kate is a little "too good" in some aspects but I guess it kind of works with her character somewhat. It was a good conclusion to the trilogy.
