this book is so pretentious. like? it was solely based on "actor" vibes. and I personally did not vibe with that. maybe I'm not too into movies and actors and that's why. or perhaps it was just a pointless jumble of words. what was the meaning of this? i gained nothing. i couldn't care less about the characters because they were even interesting. nothing compelled me to be even the tiniest bit intrigued. except maybe that girl the maestro insulted(? which I didn't get why or how...).
i was so bored out of my mind but I've already dropped one boring book (that was also significantly larger) and wanted to commit. i thought "maybe it will get better". no. nothing happened. my life will continue to be the same. I'm quite upset that i've lost 6+ hours on this book. i'd rate it even lower but the cover is pretty and the characters are gay.

i really thought i'd like this one, I see people CONSTANTLY hyping it up and honestly? it sounded very intriguing but it's so tedious to listen to. I'm not even that far in but it's just dragging. almost nothing has happened and I don't really enjoy slow books... It has 14+ more hours until the end and I don'tr think i'm going to do it simply because it has not grasped me that well.

welp, my reading/listening expirience had quite the ride. i started the audiobook on May 9th(??) and it took me so long to read it. i literally finished 3 books in the meantime.
it was a sweet book but while I took some time off it I realized that it was pretty mediocre. some scenes were good, the plot was interesting but the lack of communication annoyed the heck out of me. and this circles back to the time where someone had told me that you can't write a good book without lack of communication, to which i'd say fuck yes you can't. but this book clearly is not the way. i think I stayed mainly for the plot regardless of how ridiculously predictable it was. characters were cute but in some moments also unnecessary annoying. the overly explained stuff bothered me too. and I don't see why I liked it so much up to the 70th %. but I did like it so I'll give my past self some credit and won't vote it as low as I think of it now.
good read when i'm in the mood for some basic rom-com stuff.

honestly with how much oomf was hyping it up I expected a whole lot more. like for rachel to get into a relationship with the wife, that would have been fun! i do not mean to say that nothing happened but there was more to add to it, I think. it was more vibes than plot too which I know by now that I do not find it as good or memorable, oops.
the ending was nice actually. good book to forget and re-read at some point in the future when i'm bored af.

The comment above was taken from asunnybooknook and I want to remember it so I'm featuring it here.
i hated how much this "break up" portrayed mine very well. it was pretty much the same but without the closure afterward. the story was sad yet I liked the ending and nessie was the sweetest thing.
p.s. "dcx" comment left by my cat.

it wasn't anything spectacular. i expected a lot more to happen but it plainly resonates with the title. up until the end of the book at least.

i hate how much death there is in one person's life.
i loved the way this story was told from the POV of a cigarette.
