Nerve by Jeanne Ryan

It's a really great book for young adults. It is VERY suspenseful, especially the final date at the end. This will have you on the edge of your seats, literally!! I would totally recommend this book to anyone who is mature and loves a good thriller, with a little romance!
Delirium by Lauren Oliver

Let's start general, this was a great book, amazing, and has a wonderful story line. I thought this book was very similar to the series Uglies, by Scott Westerfield, and the series Matched, by Allie Condie. They have similarities in each other, although each one is significantly different and intriguing. This book was especially unique because, while being in the dystopian united states, it also focuses mainly around love. Love is a topic I feel some books are shy or scared to express. Most people think, oh, I can't read this. It is about love and if I do I will seem like a goody two shoes, romance lover. There is nothing wrong with that, in fact most people are not even like that at all. I love romance novels and I don't just talk about fanning over boys and wanting hopelessly to have a boyfriend. This book freely express love in many different ways, some of which I have never thought of or even considered. And by the end of this book I have realized, I have a serious case of amor deliria nervosa.

Now, I rate things kinda hard. So don't always take my advice on everything. Overall, I found this book disappointing. After Delirium I expected a grand, new continuation of Lena's story. I was wrong. During this book, it was so similar to the second book of matched I found it boring. It did not feel original nor heart wrenching. Which can sometimes be a good thing for a book. It means you really care about the characters and what happens in their lives. I did not feel this way with this book. However, I felt compelled to finish this series since I had started it. If you feel this way too, don't let me or this review stop you from doing so too.

This was not the best book I've ever read. However, I did enjoy it a bit. So, if you have somehow made it through Delirium, and pandemonium, and are now reading this review, I congratulate you. It took me a bit to get through Pandemonium and the beginning of this book. I did finish it. I liked the ending and I hated the ending. As with most books, the ending is a very controversial thing. Some might enjoy it and be OK with no next book. I don't want another book, but I am not OK with that ending! Still, if you have made it this far you should read the book. It will definitely help conclude the series for you.
This Is Not the End by Chandler Baker

At first I was unsure about this book. Mysteries don't often go well with me. It did not seem like something I would normally read, but I picked it up anyway. And I am glad I did. This book was very touching and inspirational. I feel it touched me directly because I have friendship issues, and this book was mostly based around friendship and lovers. I love how everyone is connected in their own ways. Although you may think ties have been severed between you and another, they can always stay connected through thick and thin. And even though you think someone has betrayed you, it may not always be that way. And sometimes friends are the most important things you have in life.

The idea was good, however, it wasn’t executed too well. This book moved very slowly. And I do not like slow books. I like it when the action keeps moving and propels you forward through the story. This book was not like that. And while being slow, it was very sad. I know it kind of implies that by the friends dying at the beginning, but it was much sadder than I had anticipated. It was just sad it was depressing. The boy was going through a depressing time and, if you’re like me, you sometimes feel the characters feelings. So, this book made me very sad. However, like all books, it did have its perks. It was an interesting story line, and the character was very relatable. Still, it is not the best book I have ever read. Although if you want to try it, go right ahead. Don’t let me stop you. Because you might like it.
By Your Side by Kasie West

This book was overall not very good. It was a great idea especially for a romance novel. Just poorly executed. It’s the book had been longer it might have been better. If Kassie could have provided us with a bit more characterization, then we would be more emotionally connected with the characters. Then we might actually care about the characters well being. In the book description, it mostly talks about Autumn forming a connection with Dax while they are in the library. I don’t really see it. The time spent in the library is only about 1/4 of the book. I do not think that is one enough for her and Dax to make a connection. Especially when the author was more focusing on the fact that they were in the library rather than them being romantically involved with each other. I have heard great things about this author and her books, so I am very disappointed to not have liked this one.

This book was pretty good. It was definitely not what I had expected. While there was some suspense and it had an amazing plot, I just don’t feel it was my kind of book. I expected a real, on-the-edge-of-your-seat, thriller novel. What I was greeted with was a great plot, and not too much of the thriller. However, like almost any book I read, I still enjoyed it. The plot made it interesting. As well as the couple parts that were on-the-edge-of-your-seat thriller.
The DUFF: Designated Ugly Fat Friend by Kody Keplinger

I thought this book was terrible. It is just the basic high school romance. Girl hates guy, girl resentfully falls in love with guy, they live happily ever after, the end. This book was very predictable, I could have known the ending even before I got to the second chapter. Plus the whole duff idea is pretty stupid. This girl doesn’t seem very sensitive, but she must be for that word to have affected her so much that it was made into a whole book. It was a waste of my time, I advise you don’t read it so not to waste yours.

It was an OK book. It just didn’t grab me. The only reason that I had picked up this book was because I had read her other book, Nerve, which was full of suspense, had me on the edge of my seat, and was a real page turner. In this book I was able to find some suspense, but He it just got boring for me after a while. I feel the author dragged the book on for too long. If it was shorter it might have been able to keep my attention, and might have earned itself another star. Otherwise all I can really describe it as is not the book for me.
