Delirium by Lauren Oliver

5.0

Let's start general, this was a great book, amazing, and has a wonderful story line. I thought this book was very similar to the series Uglies, by Scott Westerfield, and the series Matched, by Allie Condie. They have similarities in each other, although each one is significantly different and intriguing. This book was especially unique because, while being in the dystopian united states, it also focuses mainly around love. Love is a topic I feel some books are shy or scared to express. Most people think, oh, I can't read this. It is about love and if I do I will seem like a goody two shoes, romance lover. There is nothing wrong with that, in fact most people are not even like that at all. I love romance novels and I don't just talk about fanning over boys and wanting hopelessly to have a boyfriend. This book freely express love in many different ways, some of which I have never thought of or even considered. And by the end of this book I have realized, I have a serious case of amor deliria nervosa.
