Goodbye Days by Jeff Zentner

3.0

The idea was good, however, it wasn’t executed too well. This book moved very slowly. And I do not like slow books. I like it when the action keeps moving and propels you forward through the story. This book was not like that. And while being slow, it was very sad. I know it kind of implies that by the friends dying at the beginning, but it was much sadder than I had anticipated. It was just sad it was depressing. The boy was going through a depressing time and, if you’re like me, you sometimes feel the characters feelings. So, this book made me very sad. However, like all books, it did have its perks. It was an interesting story line, and the character was very relatable. Still, it is not the best book I have ever read. Although if you want to try it, go right ahead. Don’t let me stop you. Because you might like it.
