I enjoyed this. I think it did a good job of wrapping up the series and all of the loose ends, great job pacing, good representation of the different peoples. I really liked it and think it did as well as I could imagine. Yet I’m still a bit sad because it’s done and the possibilities are gone. I enjoyed Koesha and would’ve enjoyed reading about Joabei (what’s up with the men there?). Maybe Hearne can revisit this world in the future, with trade developed, and the Fourth Tree surrounded.

Good, cute book. Too easy maybe, not the normal conflict level in a romance. Love the representation of both epilepsy and its effects and of a great single dad trying his best.

I have mixed feelings on this book. I was so excited at the beginning by how much it reminded me of Newt Scamander and the Harry Potter world of magical creatures which I loved. But it caused me to overlook until about halfway through how much I disliked the main character and how selfish and judgmental she was, besides that her friend Tanya seemed a little flat. But literally when I was thinking about DNFing this book (a scene where Luciana entered and Aila was immediately thinking nasty judgy thoughts), Alia actually showed some depth and it started to improve. I think Tanya should’ve called her out a lot sooner though. I would’ve like to see more with her parents and their restaurant too, as well as Alia’s pets at home. Connor… was obvious as soon as I got to the donor party and he was still pursuing her though they were no match and when Alia mentioned he took a whole week off after his dragon hatchlings were stolen. Glad it had a happy ending but I wish there was a little more of the aftermath and future (maybe a flash forward sending off the now grown phoenix for their own breeding programs).

Very unique book with interesting, fleshed out characters. I enjoyed this! I’ll have to check out this author for her other books I might like.

I liked this book but I don’t like the style of writing. It’s very distinctive and hard to get used it. It makes it harder to immerse myself into the story and enjoy the story line. As I noticed it, it did remind me of Atlas Six which also was a bit clunky with six plus points of view and a cerebral way of analyzing everything, but I didn’t enjoy Blake’s style as much here. To be fair it does add to the storyline and strangeness of the book but I just don’t like it as much so I can’t rate this higher than three stars. Very unique story though but I feel like so much of the book is spent on the extra frivolities that the actual story and content is very short.

Cute, though the timing worked out suspiciously conveniently. Not my favorite book by Abby but cute and short romance.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 67%.

Just so cheesy and unrealistic. I can often suspend my disbelief but this was too much. Very little plot focus and willing to skip reason for quick attachments and sex. Meh.

Enjoyable read. Nothing too complex but something unique for an easy read. Some romance and mystery, some fantasy, showing Scotland and finding family.

I was worried since all the reviewers talked about how awful Prem was and wondered how Rina could ever forgive him, but he was definitely not that bad. He was very open with his feelings and considerate of her feelings. I thought he was going to lie and pretend to love her and trick her into an engagement but that’s not what happened at all. Yes her family is pretty awful to her but overall the story was good. I love the Taking of the Shrew adaption 10 Things I Hate About You so this can’t fully compare but it was decent.

Eh not as good as the first book, since less time of them actually together- hardly any time of them together actually, which was disappointing. Also I like a lot of the references but just too many- beginning of every chapter, song names mentioned often (acceptable), lyrics typed in throughout (which I didn’t like).
