Firstly I want to say thank you to the author for giving me an ARC copy of this, I had my eye on it for a while and was so excited to receive a copy, and I was not disappointed at all!
I really enjoyed this book, as someone who is a lover of all things paranormal romance then this hit all the right spots in all the right ways! I loved this take on Hell and Lucifer, the pride, the family, the banter, it was all so good and I definitely want more of it. I loved the back and forth between the FMC and MMC as she battled against her true feelings whilst he is instantly willing to accept his and do everything he can to prove himself to her.
I don’t want to share too much of the plot as I do not want to ruin it but this has everything you would want from a book based on a succubus and Lucifer. Angels, Demons, Devils, Hell, secrets, found family, new worlds, lore, rituals, fated mates, spice, banter, action, gore, violence, shape shifters, post apocalyptic world and just everything delicious.
I will be going on to the read the Armageddon series that is the prequel to this one and then any further of this series as they come out. I am so excited for what is to come and have really enjoyed being in this world.

I have waited to read this until the next book had come out in paperback so I could binge read them as I just knew I was going to love the series, and I was not wrong!
Oraya is a human brought up in a vampire world, she was rescued by the vampire king when her home was attacked and her family killed. Years later she has grown up living with the vampires in her Fathers castle, but it is time for her to enter trails to win a wish granted by their goddess Nyaxia. As a human Oraya has very little chance in these trails, but she is determined. It is during this that she meets Raihn, who changed everything.
This was just so delicious in so many ways, vampires, trials, spice, secrets, found family, betrayals, friendships, wings! I just loved all aspects of this book and this world and I am so excited that there is so much more to come from it.
This is a must read for all my vampire and romantasy loving girlies out there!

Mountains Made of Glass follows Gesela, our FMC as she is scarificed by her village to their ancient curse. The seven Elven brothers from the enchanted wood come to take her as payment. Where she ends up as prisoner to the Thorn Prince, challenged to discover his true name within 7 days.
This is a spicy fairytale retelling with a tall dark and handsome fae mmc. I did enjoy this, I loved the setting with his castle being half castle and half garden, even if I found this slightly confusing. I enjoyed all the creatures we met along the way and I also enjoyed the development of their relationship.
My biggest criticism of this is the length and pacing, it’s a short read at just over 200 pages, but I feel like it probably could have done with longer, to include richer world building and understanding a bit more. There were moments that moved to fast and felt rushed and then moments that I felt were too slow and unnecessary and took away from the detail that was needed.
I will read the others within this world as I am intrigued to see where it goes and what it is to come, I am hoping that in the next one there may be a bit more world building and detail.
There are illustrations through this book which I thought were so beautiful and added such a nice touch.

This series was sold to me as books inspired by the men of criminal minds, with Archer being inspired by Hotch, unfortunately I just didn’t get Hotch vibes from this. It wasn’t a bad story and I look forward to reading the rest of them, especially Ranger which is based on Reid.
We follow Archer and Keira’s journey back to each other, Archer thought he had watched her die and failed his protective duty of her, however it had all just been a set up to protect Keira and her father after he testified against the Irish Mob. When they come face to face again years later it is unexpected and full of conflicted feelings.
The spice was good and there was a decent plot, I just found it very hard to stay engaged, I don’t know if that was down to what I have just recently read or that I just wasn’t brought in.
I loved the brothers and their relationship and will definitely read some more of the series.

I am new to the extreme horror genre, I know that there are plenty of books within the genre that are not for me but this premise really appealed to me and as it was one of Coven Book Clubs extreme horror picks for the months I wanted to give it a go.
The plot of Hell Hound possessing normal dogs and eating humans because of one man, is one that had so much potential but sadly for me I found the delivery wasn’t the best, there were sections which were too long and I felt it was a bit disjointed in places, I still don’t really understand why anything happened.
There were some really good gorey bits, but form my understand this is more of a horror book that it is an extreme horror and I think this is also one of the authors earlier works, I have seen further extreme horrors of his have such an impact that I may feel brave and pick them up one day!
I found myself much more invested in the spice and the relationships in this than anything else.
I would say if you are wanting to get a taste of extreme horror without diving straight in then this wouldn’t be a bad place to start.

This book is everything I love about reading, and has really relit my motivation to read and get lost in a book like I did this one.

Phantasma was our main read for November for Coven Book Club, and I have finished it by the 4th, but I just could not stop reading.

This book follows Ophelia as she not only inherits her mums necromancy magic but also has to follow her sister into the deadly Phantasma, a competition based in magic mansion, full of secrets, ghouls, ghosts, devils and things trying to kill you at every turn. Ophelia must get through these trials to be able to find her sister. She meets a very handsome Phantom, who quite often takes his belt off using only one hand whilst maintaining eye contact, and things will never be the same again.

I just could not get enough of this story, there were so many answers I needed and the thing I really loved about this is it finished with very little unanswered questions and I feel the ending was exactly what I wanted and needed it to be. This is full of every I enjoy, fantasy, romance, mysteries, trials, paranormal creatures, magic, magical mansion, ghost cat, all things spooky and a good amount of spice! The writing style made it so easy to read and it just keep me guessing and desperate to find out what happened next. I cannot recommend this enough, it was just delicious in all the right ways

I was really looking forward to reading this and super excited going into it, however this book just was not for me.

I loved the concept and was hoping it would be like Zoo, but they just wasn’t the case. Whilst there was gore in here it felt like more of a character study on the humans and how they reacted to the situation rather than focusing on what was happening with the animals and why. I also really did not enjoy the animals POV.

I have heard really good reviews for The Housemates by this author so I will definitely be picking that up as I think I will enjoy that much more.

Just because I didn’t enjoy this book doesn’t mean that others won’t and it shouldn’t take away from others enjoyment, the best part of reading is its subjectivity and this just wasn’t for me, and that’s ok.

I am going to really struggle to read anything else straight after this, the ending of this book was incredible and I really did not see it coming.

I feel like it’s best to go into this book blind, and just know that it’s a sapphic romance with a horror twist.

I feel like the author did such a good job of creating the atmosphere of obsession between Ro and Ash, but also the uncertainty of something just feeling slightly off, and there were a few occasion I thought I was being signposted into what was actually happening, and then felt like I was being sent in another direction.

I so enjoyed this book, and I think the less said when going into it the better.

This was the first book for our Coven book club and I was so excited to read it as I loved the premise and it had so much potential. There were parts of this book that I really enjoyed, I would really of loved more of all the coven together and what the after of everything would have looked like. However there were moments that I felt were unnecessarily too long and the end I did not like at all! It was so abrupt with little explanation as to why the choice that was made was made.

I liked the reveals along the way and how it felt like you were constantly guessing about what was happening and there were a few times I thought I had figured it out and I had not!

I loved the setting, the cottage sounds perfect to me and I have to say it was somewhere I would like to stay!

There were a few twists that I did somewhat enjoy but I just felt confused and frustrated with a lot of it as I went. I found there was a large chunk of the second half of the book that I found myself skim reading.

Overall it’s not a bad book and if you are a fan of witchy horror you will enjoy some of this; but the ending (and the puppy) ruined the experience of it for me. But that’s the best thing about reading, it’s subjective to everyone.

As someone who loves adventure stories, fantasy, mystery, Scotland and spicy romance this book covered all bases for me, and I loved it!

We follow Riley, with a family history in curse breaking she is the first to want to branch out and make it into a profession. This takes her to Scotland, where she has been hired to work at breaking a centuries old curse on a Scottish castle, with questions around its history and the origin of the curse she already has her work set out for her. Also hired by the historical society to investigate the castle is archeologist Clark, straight out of a previous scandal he has taken this small slow job in hopes to get his head down and rebuild it.

When Clark is faced with Riley his skepticism and attraction to her clash, along with the curse doing everything it can play a role in causing chaos.

I really enjoyed this story, it had so many elements that I love, and I feel like it all came together really well. The only reason I haven’t given it 5⭐️ is that the pacing felt a little off in some places and there were a few moments of filler, but overall it was a brilliant story, and I would read a whole series based on Clark and Riley travelling the world and breaking curses. They have amazing chemistry and I found the spice in this really unexpected but was definitely some of my favourite spice scenes, the first one in the camper had me very hot and flustered!

I wish we had found out a little more about what happened to the castle when the curse was initially cast, but I have my own theory which I am happy to stick with.

I am really hoping there will be more and this will be a series as I would really like to read it!
