I was really looking forward to reading this and super excited going into it, however this book just was not for me. 

I loved the concept and was hoping it would be like Zoo, but they just wasn’t the case. Whilst there was gore in here it felt like more of a character study on the humans and how they reacted to the situation rather than focusing on what was happening with the animals and why. I also really did not enjoy the animals POV. 

I have heard really good reviews for The Housemates by this author so I will definitely be picking that up as I think I will enjoy that much more. 

Just because I didn’t enjoy this book doesn’t mean that others won’t and it shouldn’t take away from others enjoyment, the best part of reading is its subjectivity and this just wasn’t for me, and that’s ok.
