Very fun! I had no idea how it would end and it was a roller-coaster ride the whole way. Loved the characters.

For once, I think the book truly just wasn't for me. Not a soft way of saying I thought it was bad, I couldn't find fault with it, and still didn't get that much out of it. I think it really just wasn't my style, so I'm gonna leave the elaborate reviews to people who felt more strongly about it.
Moderate: Biphobia, Infidelity, Panic attacks/disorders, Grief, Death of parent, and Alcohol
Minor: Terminal illness
While two characters to decide to have an open relationship, they still overstep emotional boundaries, so regardless of whether it would be considered cheating technically, it invokes similar emotions and may be triggering to those with related traumacburley04's review against another edition

Really enjoyed the first section but towards the end it got a bit rushed I felt. Although Georgia was a well written character she was highly dislikeable and a little repetitive

As a bi-oriented aroace interested in bi representation (even if I can't relate to the characters because, as aesthetically attractive as I can find some people, I never want to date anyone), I was curious about this book I saw advertised several times on Twitter. I was also hesitant, worried I shouldn't want to read it because, if the main character has a double life, it means she must be a liar and cheat... but in the end I decided I didn't care what my opinionated, "fully bi" acquaintances would say, and I'm glad I did because it was a very entertaining read. I loved everything with the band and also liked the contrast between the two versions of Georgina (even if it did seem rather stupid of her to create a cliché lesbian persona just because she had a crush on a woman) so, although I do understand why some readers disliked the novel (particularly those who couldn't stand the cliché characters), I really enjoyed it - found it hard to put down and all that - which is all that matters, so I give it 5 stars and refuse to be judged for it.

Funny books are difficult. Everyone knows what makes you sad. It's pretty universal. Funny bones are far more difficult to locate however.
As such, this book was not for me. I could see where I was supposed to laugh. I just didn't. I think that says more about me than the author or the book.
Georgina is a woman of habit. Her life is mapped out by a shared calendar she and her partner, Doug, have and she doesn't like surprises. Life however, has a habit of throwing you a curve ball from time to time.
Georgina's curve ball is that she finds herself accidentally joining a queer pop band and discovers she is bisexual. Attempting to fit her new life into her old leads to problems. Can she resolve them?
It's great that queer love stories are becoming more of a thing and that romance is not just the territory of cis couples and this is a strong example of the kind of writing we need to see more of.

Very well written, fantastic debut novel. The only thing preventing a 5 ☆☆☆☆☆ for me is the stereotypes and the biphobia throughout

In just the past five years we have seen a huge change in how many queer rom-coms are being published by the big publishing houses and it makes me so happy. I was recently chatting with @bklnbooks about how When Katie Met Cassidy, a great book from five years ago, was one of the first queer rom-coms from a major publisher. I used to have to hunt for them and now I get sent them routinely. I’m currently listening to Island Time, a queer romance set on an island off the east coast of Australia and I just finished Double Booked. Both feature young women in their mid 20s realising they are bisexual after having been in long-term straight relationships. Both are funny and clever. I love being a reader in this new era of queer rom-coms.
