Double Booked by Lily Lindon
3.0
In just the past five years we have seen a huge change in how many queer rom-coms are being published by the big publishing houses and it makes me so happy. I was recently chatting with @bklnbooks about how When Katie Met Cassidy, a great book from five years ago, was one of the first queer rom-coms from a major publisher. I used to have to hunt for them and now I get sent them routinely. I’m currently listening to Island Time, a queer romance set on an island off the east coast of Australia and I just finished Double Booked. Both feature young women in their mid 20s realising they are bisexual after having been in long-term straight relationships. Both are funny and clever. I love being a reader in this new era of queer rom-coms.
