Double Booked by Lily Lindon

Funny books are difficult. Everyone knows what makes you sad. It's pretty universal. Funny bones are far more difficult to locate however.
As such, this book was not for me. I could see where I was supposed to laugh. I just didn't. I think that says more about me than the author or the book.
Georgina is a woman of habit. Her life is mapped out by a shared calendar she and her partner, Doug, have and she doesn't like surprises. Life however, has a habit of throwing you a curve ball from time to time.
Georgina's curve ball is that she finds herself accidentally joining a queer pop band and discovers she is bisexual. Attempting to fit her new life into her old leads to problems. Can she resolve them?
It's great that queer love stories are becoming more of a thing and that romance is not just the territory of cis couples and this is a strong example of the kind of writing we need to see more of.
