So this had a lot to it but it started out with a cartoonish quality of super heroes, uber powers with many realms. I'd think it would be hard not to do this at the point since the Night Huntress world has been going 16 books and everyone seems to get more powers in every book. This really felt like an ending book. We didn't get to see into Vlad's life now but we see him, Cat and Bones come to help, also Mencheres, Crispin & Denise. All and all we get most everyone and a little chatter of who they are now. I would call it a wrap as this story is also wrapped up. It was a really good ending too. I would've like to see everyone a bit more and get a future and I can imagine spin off books like one for Ashael or Marie (though Marie would be tough)

They end up at Crispin's house so we get a little of him and Denise and life.strager's review against another edition

Wicked All Night is probably my favorite book of the Night Rebel Trilogy. The book is full of plenty of action, mythology, gods, fights, demons, and monsters. Laced in between the action is plenty of Ian and Veritas, sexiness, and appearances from several characters in the Night Huntress world. Frost brings her amazing writing style that immerses you in the characters and plot. The interactions between the characters are engaging and even humorous at times. I loved seeing further growth in Veritas/Arial and even to some degree, Ian. The reader is given more insight to Veritas' origins, her father and her over all psychology. The plot is pretty straight forward but does supply a few twists and turns to keep the reader interested. Overall, a fun ride worth taking!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the advanced copy and the opportunity to read and review Wicked All Night.

I love Cat & Bones, but Ian is a big favorite of mine. His relationship with Veritas is very back and forth with one always being upset with the other. Normally for the other one doing something stupid to protect the other one. In a way, it kind of gets annoying that they are constantly butting heads about this. They are both doing exactly the same thing to each other. They can't just trust that the other can take care of themselves.
Wicked All Night takes us to multiple realms so we are not on earth the whole time fighting the fight. Many of our favorite characters are called in to help Ian and Veritas try to save humanity. This is always fun because the relationships and dialogue between Ian and his friends always runs the line between just plain sarcastic to veiled insults.
The situations that Ian and Veritas find themselves in are definitely intense and I was anxious a few times about how they were going to find their way out of them. We had some unexpected backstabbing that left Ian and Veritas in really hot water. I want to say more, but everything I start to right sounds too much like a spoiler.
Wicked All Night was another fun ride with Ian and Veritas. I was slightly annoyed by the relationship issues as there was just too much other stuff going on for them to be so protective of each other despite them both being badasses. I would love to see more of Ian and Veritas. Hopefully they will make appearances in any future spinoffs Jeaniene Frost makes.

What a great book! Starts a couple weeks after the last book finished with the new villain Phanes. At an hour left of the book I was getting nervous, it didn’t seem to be bringing us to an ending, was it going to be rushed or were we going into a 4th book?? But the ending was quite satisfying, not rushed, plenty of action, no miraculous save at the end, they worked for it. Well written.
Once again, Veritas goes off on her own to save Ian, and once again he catches up and gives her hell. Pretty hard to give up your independence after 4000 years! But by the end she has learned the power of team work.
Evan though this was Ian’s series (met him in other Night Huntress books), this felt more like Veritas’ series. She was the main focus and she was the main POV.

Veritas and Ian have finally defeated their worst enemy, Dagon, but the power it took to pierce through to the netherworld has unexpected consequences. Soon, Veritas is forced to rely on the last person she trusts—a golden deity named Phanes, who is her original intended betrothal.
But an escape from the netherworld—an attempt to save her missing biological father—soon pits Veritas and Ian against supernatural beings—ancient deities— seeking to rule over mortals once again. Now, they must rally friends and foes alike—while all in the midst of fighting the wedge between them that threatens to destroy their love. Can they stand together against the unearthly powers about to be unleashed? Pretty sure… yeah.
I must say, all in all, this was a decent conclusion to Ian and Veritas' story though this novel was not as fulfilling as its counterparts. The built-up to the epic climax I was anticipating fell short. The abrupt ending—WTF was that, seriously?!—was anticlimactic. If the epic battle was a tad bit more drawn out, this will surely fall in par with the other books in the series.
Despite that, I still very much enjoy this. The strong connection, commitment, chemistry, romance, and just about everything else with Van and Veritas' relationship was impeccable and definitely held this story together. The character development was an added bonus and a pleasant surprise. More so, we get to see old faces: Vlad, Cat, Bones, Spade, Mencheres, Denise, and more but the true standout character for me was Veritas' half-brother, Ashael. Every scene he appeared in—he brought the wit, the humor, the fun times. I especially loved the scene where he damn neared domesticated Naxos, a Minotaur from Phanes realm. I hope we get to see more of him (possibly a future series?) and the other characters in the great, epic fantasy world Jeannie Frost is known to create. It’s quite obvious she is not done with this series and I know there is more storytelling in store for readers.

This was a little bit disappointing, but I still very much enjoyed it.
1. I'm not sure that adding gods into this story was a great idea. I feel like Jeaniene was trying to take a lesson from [a:Ilona Andrews|21748|Ilona Andrews|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1588103544p2/21748.jpg]'s book, but it didn't really worked out that well in this universe. The game became too big. Everyone's powers just get out of proportion... And then in the end, everything ends up rather smoothly. I don't know, it felt a bit weird, but... whatever.
2. I liked how Ian and Veritas' relationship developed. Some say it got a bit stale and I can see why they feel that way. It gets less attention and after the very creative sex scenes from [b:Wicked Bite|41798737|Wicked Bite (Night Rebel, #2)|Jeaniene Frost|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1545051040l/41798737._SY75_.jpg|65218999] the little bits of intimacy we got here might seem a bit boring. Some themes get repetitive... But I don't know, I mostly enjoyed it.
3. I need to talk about Xun Guan though (I hope I wrote her name right...). You know, I was thrilled when we found out that Veritas' "major ex-lover" was a woman. (We have so many bisexual characters who we never truly see be bisexual... right, Ian? Or Lovisa from [b:Winterkeep|53624358|Winterkeep (Graceling Realm, #4)|Kristin Cashore|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1600268464l/53624358._SY75_.jpg|83947956]...) But, now I feel like it was only because Jeaniene can only write the unrequited pining love trope in a woman, like... gods, I adored Anette's character, but she is totally killed by this and here we have Annette 02 - by the way, where is Annette? I'm missing my girl - I would still love that book about her... maybe she and Xun Guan could bond over their unrequited love... Back to the point... the scene between Veritas and Xun Guan was so painful to read, I just want her to be happy and I don't care that she isn't always a likeable character.
4. I adored Ashael. No more words needed... he is amazing, I am a sucker for older protective brothers trope and he just brings it to entirely new level (while also being respectful, which is hard to pull of). I wouldn't say no to his book... not at all... just saying...
5. Also, can someone tell me, why everyone gets to bring their girlfriend/wife along and yet Kyra always gets left out, she is my favourite and if this was a serial show I would get it, you know, they couldn't get the actress for the next season so she only gets mentioned in passing, but this is a book! And in this one, we get a cameo from almost everyone - we get to see even Tyler and his new husband. When I finished [b:Eternal Kiss of Darkness|6871616|Eternal Kiss of Darkness (Night Huntress World, #2)|Jeaniene Frost|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1388187170l/6871616._SY75_.jpg|7096800] and we learn that Kyra wants to train to become a law guardian, I hoped that we would see her in Veritas' books, because you know... that would make so much sense and it would include a beloved character seamlessly, but no... well, I think it's a wasted opportunity, but whatever....
In conclusion, Night Rebel books are still my favourites in the Night Huntress Universe, but this one is the weakest one in my humble opinion. There is a lot of little things that irk me (that's not exclusive to this book), but overall I quite enjoyed it. The ending was very rushed which increased my levels of unsatisfaction, but... whatever...

Series: Night Rebel #3
Rating: 3 stars - I liked it
Well this wasn’t what I was expecting for the last Ian and Veritas book. This book picks up a few weeks after the previous one ended with Veritas agreeing to a deal with Phanes to help save Ian. This leads to her uncovering the truth about Phanes, some gods being unleashed from the netherworld, and then having to save the world.
Like all of the books in this universe, this was nonstop action. I enjoyed the action scenes and battles, but the plot and added characters didn’t really do it for me. There were a lot of new characters thrown into this book, and sadly most of them didn’t really do much or interest me. The gods who are the villain's in this story were not very scary. They were more spoiled brats who just wanted everything and got upset when people told them no. Enjoyed the battle against them, but I thought it ended pretty quickly.
Ian and Veritas’ relationship basically solidifies in this one but they don’t have a lot of real romantic time together. They are just going from one situation to another. There aren’t any loose ends to their storyline, which is good, but I was very disappointed in the abrupt ending of this book. I was really expecting an epilogue with them being happy or something after the battle to show their HEA.
Overall, I enjoyed this but was disappointed about aspects of it. I still really like Ian and Veritas. I do hope Ms. Frost will write more in this universe in the future, even if it's just novellas. Maybe we will see Ashael get his own story.

Well we find out what happens where the last book picked up with Veritas being betrothed to another immortal. Veritas and Ian face another battle that will decide if the world will survive or not. Overall I really enjoyed this one, but the ending felt very abrupt.
