Penjahatnya kalah gitu doang?

The thrilling conclusion brings the gang back together again. A little bit of an abrupt ended when all was said and done but still a fun read. Steamy scale 3 of 5 (Audible)

I hope that more books in the Night Huntress universe are in the works. I would love to learn more about the secondary characters but if not, this was a satisfactory ending.

The love that Ian and Veritas have literally makes me want to jump up and down and squeal like a 14 year old girl. If this is the final NH book I can say that it didn't disappoint. There was a lot of action, humor, and warm feels.

Good ending to the series. Every loose end got tied up, though there was one part of the conflict that was built up throughout the story as a major issue, then just suddenly resolved with almost no effort. It seemed like it was maybe meant to be a surprise, but it felt a bit like Deus ex Machina, and because it happened right in the middle of a dramatic fight, some of the oomph got pulled away from it. I felt that the villains were built up fairly well, and all the major characters got included in the final battle, which I also liked.

This book was okay for me. I did enjoy reading it, but the plot was lacking and felt dry. The villains felt really one-dimensional and boring that I don’t even remember their names. This book doesn’t really focus on Ian and Veritas’s relationship which would be fine if the plot was good but it isn’t. There are appearances made by other characters from Frost’s previous books, but I feel like they weren’t really placed in the story in a natural way and it felt kinda forced. It felt like they were just there for no reason. The ending also felt really rushed which makes you question is this really the ending? I feel that this book had so much potential but it didn’t live up to it.
