This book has been one of my most anticipated reads on my TBR!!!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The subject matter of OONA was so unique! She wakes up every New Year in a different year of her life. I have read some fiction books dealing with time traveling in the past but this was such a fun way to bring a fresh perspective.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I def got some Thirteen Going on Thirty vibes and was totally here for it.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Oona was delightful to read about and I positively adored her mom and Kenzie (“older Oona’s personal assistant).
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This book is all about those “what if” moments in our lives. What if you knew where’d you be in 2052 - would you change how you react to things today? Would you soak up every moment with your family and friends or just simply live your life?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
There’s love, romance, heartbreak, and finding your true self.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Totally recommend if you enjoy multiple timelines, women’s fiction, and a dash of mystery.

Calling all my fellow wine lovers.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Do you fancy yourself a fine glass of wine? Would you love to quit your stuffy 9-5 job and jet-set off to France to learn how to properly make some of the best wine?

The Housewives: The Real Story Behind the Real Housewives by Brian Moylan

Where are all my Real Housewives fans at?!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I have been a fan of this show since the women of RHOC (Real Housewives of Orange County) were wearing bejeweled sky tops and their kids were sporting Heelys.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Author Brian Moylan (a journalist who wrote "Real Housewives Recap" for Vulture) takes us on a legendary journey through the years of plastic surgeries, flipped tables, and prosthetic legs.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
He answers questions like, “Who actually pays for those girls trips” and “Does Andy reallyyy have that much power over casting?”
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Last year I read Amy Kaufman's “Bachelor Nation” and immediately fell in love with learning more about my favorite not-so-guilty guilty pleasure reality shows.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I also loved Andy Cohen’s books “The Andy Cohen Diaries” and “Most Talkative.” However IMO these books still left me with questions about my favorite ladies who know it’s bad karma to host those vow renewals (except if your Stephanie from RHOD because she’s basically a saint).
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Brian Moylan did an AMAZING job of walking the reader (aka super fans) through the creation and making of the show, the addition of the cities, the fashion, the husbands, the drama, and of course - the fights!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I also loved that he narrated his audiobook, giving emphasis in all the right places.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you have ever been a fan of the show (even if it was only one city), you HAVE to read this book!!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Thank you author Brian Moylan and Macmillan Audio for this #giftedaudiobook in exchange for an honest review.
Never Saw You Coming by Erin Hahn

Erin Hahn quickly became one of my fav YA authors after I devoured MORE THAN MAYBE last year. She knows how to write about teenage angsty love and if you’re a YA love story fan, she’s your author. So when she announced a "spin-off" to one of my fav novels, I knew I had to get my hands on it.

**Vulnerable/Real Life Review

Wow. It has taken me a long time to put my words to the page. Let me start off with saying I am a Christian. My dad is a Pastor & has been basically my entire life. I, too, am an ordained Pastor & currently serve in ministry.

In this story, Erin reveals a deep-seeded issue within Christianity which is (unfortunately) sometimes “the church” isn’t what God meant it to be.

The biggest heart breaks in my life weren’t from boys or friends or family; they were from people who claimed Christianity then went against everything Christ stands for.

I connected so much with Meg feeling the pressure to live a modest lifestyle and always having to “keep up appearances” (thank God we’ve since been delivered from that bondage, Meg included)

And Micah. My heart. Being a Pastor’s kid can be such a tough job. Erin so beautifully portrayed how when “the church” can hurt you, it’s just that. People. People hurt you. Not God. He’s got you through it all.

I know reading isn’t always about connecting with characters but I think to fully appreciate this book, you have to. You have to be able to relate to digest the brilliant writing & storytelling from Erin.

Now please know my heart. I am not saying "the church" is horrible. I am not coming at anyone or judging anyone. We all have our own journey through life & I’m just sharing my own personal past.

Thank you Wednesday Books & Erin Hahn for this #giftedbook
