Taken by the Tech

This was definitely monster smut. It is murder and mayhem followed by kidnapping and noncon till she seeks it out.

This was super spicy but beware the trigger warnings. This is a bad 90s horror flick that transitions to lots of hot smut. He doesn't speak but he is eventually soft for her.

Playing the V Card

This is 90% smut with enough plot not to just be the smexy time. Playing poker where the prize is exactly what you think it is.

It's sweet and spicy with a surprise ending. I absolutely didn't expect that ending and I loved it.

Carlos and a taste of home

First off I really like Carlos. Plus it was fantastic seeing Matteo and Quinn in a new setting with Carlos as their head. They are a small group but they have perfect dynamics and chemistry.

In this story Carlos finds himself hunting down a girl that reminds him of home. However, this particular girl happens to be a hunter. So they spent a lot of time flirting by trying to kill each other and it's fantastic.

In all of this his clan wants her dead but he can't do it. We also have the Bloodking over here trying to start a war. We learn more about what led to the accords and how they are or are not followed.

I have to admit there were parts of this book where I was a bit bored but I absolutely love seeing this side of Carlos. Also there was a character that was an absolute shock and I hope we get more about them and their relationship with someone from the clan. Seriously if you know you know.

It was really nice getting more about the clans and how they function as well as how deaths are felt and dealt with.

I'm super excited to see what happens with the war. Who might end up dead and how will it change dynamics.

Ending generational trauma

Gabriela grew up never knowing her father and with a mother who wasn't interested in her child. So when she ended up a single mother she knew she had to do better.

After finding out she was an Omega she was given a place to live and some stability. However, at 26 she was matched with her pack and had to move again she was prepared for more heartbreak.

This was a very sweet book about men who had given up the hope of finding their Omega. The oldest member was already 47. So they were excited but also terrified. This is people coming together to build their family after giving up hope of having their dreams.

The twists had turns and the turns had even more twists

Vivi is an absolute Queen. She has been plotting all of her moves for way longer than anyone ever knew. She isn't afraid to reach out to anyone who could help her in her mission to take down the Saints and ensure her families safety.

This book starts almost a year after the last one. We find that the Filthy Few are not even on speaking terms but have all ended up at the same college. The anger and misery is so tense. No one is happy about what happened and they are unable to deal with it because they do not have Vivi and she won't answer when they do reach out.

Vivi may only be 19 but she knows exactly what needs to be done and will stop at nothing to ensure the Saints are finished, the town is thriving and her family is safe. That doesn't mean it is easy sailing by any means. However, when she ends up at the college to meet with the board about some stuff she needs help with she is forced to come face to face with the people she banished. Thus begins the final push because her brothers best friends are all in for her and they don't even care that they have to share.

This book is dark and twisty. I never expected some of Vivi's choices. I understand how they worked out but I am impressed by her getting them done. We find out about all of the things she has done and still does. We get her admitting to being in love and the boys loving her in return - though not without a bunch of snags.

I love all of the men from the Filthy Few and the relationships they have with each other as well as with Vivi and Nova. I loved seeing how Nova and Nox's relationship grew and changed. I also love that Nova and Ez were building their relationship as well. These guys are all family blood related or not.

This book did have some very shocking moments as well. I can't wait to see what happens next.

Mystery, deceit, murder and a secret society

Wow. This book was so good. I absolutely love that this wasn't Samantha's typical mafia books (don't get me wrong I love those too) because she nailed it. I could not put this book down and I read it within a day.

There is so much going on and so many surprises. I love how as things were discovered I could look back and see hunts of them. The bread crumbs are there but they are little.

I absolutely adore the filthy few. I love they banded together to find the information they needed. Vox is such a fierce character. He is absolutely an alphahole but he is fiercely protective.

Nova came into alk the trouble of the town and was absolutely not prepared for the crazy. She took everything with grace. She is a Queen and even when she was on her knees she was above those around her.

Now I do not typically enjoy the HS books but this never felt like it was except those stupid cheerleaders.  The characters all had to grow up fast and it made them more mature. They all had their faults but it only made them human.

Vivi was so unexpected and absolutely love her and how different yet alike her twin she is. She is dealing with so much and no one ever stops to ask what she wants.

Waylen is the sweetest best friend anyone could ask for. He was the light that was needed in this story.

I did not expect that ending and can't wait to see what happens next. There is so many questions still needing answers.

Surviving after breaking several times

This book is very dark. If you are not okay with SA, trafficking and non consent you Vetter run away from this one.

Delaney has been groomed to be the quiet subservient girl. She knows if she isn't she gets hurt worse. She has been abused all her life and was sold to a man for a business arrangement. However, when that man and his family needed the last shares of the company they were forced to invite the half brother over to try and get him to sign them over.

Talon is a big and scary man whom Laney was told to avoid. However, Talon decides to get even and kidnaps Laney so his half brother can't marry her. Instead Lahey finds herself married to Talon. She soon discovers that he is a complex man who has been through just as much abuse. Together maybe they can find healing.

Of course nothing in Emily's books is ever that easy. Laney is next kidnapped and sold at auction. Can Talon and his MC club find her before she is killed? This story is absolutely tragic but does have an HEA.

Emily writes about trauma, healing, and love. Her FMCs and even the MMCs will always have to go through a lot if trauma and healing before finding their place. It is always a beautifully tragic journey. This book kept me hooked and I read it in one day.

Teaching an alien race about Valentine's Day

This is such a sweet story. It's time for Zy to return to the palace and he intends to take Sera with him. As they return Zy tells the kids all about how they celebrated the Earth holiday Christmas and everyone was so excited.

So the next holiday she can teach them about is Valentine's Day. She explains it to the kids who are enthralled by the idea. So with advise from Sera and the staff at the palace Nine is determined to set up a fantastic surprise for the people but more importantly for Sera and Zy.

Watching the bond grow between Nine and Sera is so sweet. This little boy absolutely loves her just as much as Zy does. Plus the vALIENtine card is just perfect and really helps Sera feel more important and wanted.

I love these characters so much and can't wait to read the next one. I could easily read full books as they all figure out life together.

Fear and guilt can ruin lives

This book is a standalone but characters from previous books in this world do appear. So if you read them all you will know who the people are already but it isn't necessary. I love each of these books and the cameos are always fun. Kathleen is really good at connecting everyone in unique ways. Her characters all have their faults and are forced to face themselves and ithers in ways that will change them. The changes are always big but are done in ways that are believable.

I really enjoyed this book and especially how much the characters grew throughout the story. While it is filled with secrets, lies, guilt, possession, and fear it also shows how important friendship and relationships are.

Pearl is a junior publicist for Tidal Wave Press. She is super competitive in everything she does. However, that competitive spirit has left people around her injured and she blames herself for everyone of them. Pearl must learn that she isn't always in control and she will not always win.

Nym used to gather intelligence for the British defense. He is always observant. However, he has had instances where people have been injured or killed due to a action he did or didn't take and that eats at him. One such incident has left him closed off to love. He only offers Master/slave relationships to women.

Zane is the man who just wants to heal the planet. He is a brilliant scientist and has created something to counter what people have done to the planet. He doesn't want to be known for what he does and never seeks to be in the spotlight. He doesn't trust people because they are selfish. He is also still grieving the loss of his sister and it has made him seek out answers.

When Pearl meets a masked man she is intrigued by him. This man will become her stalker and her master but can he give in and become hers too? This moment will irrevocably change these characters. Though it takes plenty of ups and downs along the way. Healing requires time and acceptance.

An assassin, a Mafia head, & a shadow

This story is full of twists and turns that keep you guessing. Every time you get a piece of the puzzle you realize there are multiple puzzles and the pieces don't make sense yet.

Karina is a trained assassin who has taken in a job to kill Luciano Bianchi who is the head of his family. She has been watching him and his shadow for a year and is ready to take him out. The problem....he is several steps ahead of her and knows exactly what she is planning.

Lucas and Prince have made it easy for Karina to get close. They want her even closer. These two men are commanding and ruthless. There is a war brewing and they need to keep their family and Karina safe.

This book left me on the edge of my seat wondering what might happen next. The ending was sexy and brutal and leaves way too many unanswered questions. I can't wait for book 2.
