I was gifted a proof of this book by the publishing company and WOW.
It’s rare to come across a unique fantasy book that works, but this does! I haven’t read anything like this before.
From the start I was intrigued, especially with the changing on the different settings and the descriptions. My imagination was going wild. The different characters all clearly stood out from each other showing great character building. Their relationships with each other were also very well built up and by the end I was going through the book incredibly fast.
I also love how it finished. It could end as a standalone and wouldn’t feel incomplete because the way it’s written feels resolved. However, the author has set it up for another story to follow and it is already my most anticipated read for the future!
From the plains, to fantome, to Halbracht. This is not a book I’ll be forgetting anytime soon.

I have read 14 books this year and this is my first 5 star read.
When you finish them, certain books will give you a feeling so profound that nothing else can match. It doesn’t have to be intense sadness or happiness or love. It just has to make you feel anything and everything. It leaves you reflecting on the past and hoping for the future… even if that future is one year or three hundred.
I can wholeheartedly say that this is one of my most favourite books of ALL TIME.

I debated giving this 2.5, but I did enjoy some parts of it and for me 3 is the middle ground (which I’m aware makes no sense).
I liked seeing things from Warner’s point of view. It was interesting to see how he views other characters I.e., putting Juliette on a pedestal and how even her own narrative is warped.
However, this novella felt completely unnecessary other than his long awaited character development which could’ve occurred throughout the main series. The novella leads up to one big thing and in the end, it almost cuts off right before it happens? It feels like you’ve been lead on and then it’s just dropped.
To be honest I think the only sane and likeable characters in this novella were the side characters. They seem to be the only ones who seem sense and don’t allow themselves to be walked all over.

This was definitely one of the better books in the series. The final big action scene whereby the resolution then comes. I liked the action and the dynamic between characters
However, there are some aspects I didn’t like. The inconsistency in Warners character (whether deliberate or not), the fast paced development of his and Juliette’s relationship, the repetitiveness of name changing and people dying but not actually dying, and the fact that this series would’ve been so much better if split into 3 or 4 books without the additional novellas.

I feel really neutral about this novella. I definitely preferred unite me a lot more. I don’t think it’s necessary to read either novella though (can’t speak for the last one yet) to understand the series more.

I think this book would’ve been a good ending to the series. It could’ve been left on a slight cliffhanger and would’ve been good. However, I’m saying this from the perspective of having read the next book as well.
I definitely enjoyed this one and the last one more than the first one. I think the development of relationships between characters is nice. I ESPECIALLY enjoyed Aaron’s and Juliette’s. I loved the ending scene as well!

I definitely enjoyed this one a lot more compared to the last one.
It seems a lot of these books are very hit or miss.
I think the ending of this one was very good and it’s interesting to unravel the secrets of the reestablishment. However, the series takes part over a relatively small time frame. I.e., less than a year, so why is it taking 7 books (including the novellas) and it still isn’t finished. It’s dragged out slowly which doesnt mean it’s bad but then other aspects of the book such as characters romantic relationships are so rushed in comparison

I honestly didn’t know what to expect from this book. It felt as though the last one could’ve been the last but it would’ve left it with too many questions.
This book answered a few of those questions but created a whole lot more. I’ve never been so confused by the end of a book. I wasn’t expecting the plot twist at all.
The end was really good and leaves on a major cliffhanger but the beginning and middle of the book felt quite anti climactic. Almost like filler before it can get to the real story

It was interesting to read Warners POV. It definitely gave more of an insight into who he is as a person. Same as Kent. However Warner was made to seem more human and for Kent, it showed another side to his personality. Not necessarily a bad one but just different to how we’d seen him in unravel me. You can tell the novella was written after the story because it almost doesn’t feel like the same characters. It came after their development but was written as if back in time and there is a slight break in the characters personas
