READ THIS BOOK. It was fabulous!
The holidays are actual kingdoms
forbidden love (Halloween and Christmas princes?!)
cherished friendships
family dynamics drama
And spiiiiiiiiiiice (not just the kind in your mulled wine)

🎃 I am obsessed with Hex and Coal! (Also Coals running anxious inner dialogue is SO RELATABLE). I love them. I love his besite Iris and his brother Kris. I am THRILLED this is going to be a series!

Book # 6 in one of my FAVORITE cozy mystery series and it was just as delightful as ever.  I loved how we got to meet Josie's mom and learn more about her history as someone who was suppressing her magic and maybe finally coming to terms with it. The mystery was so intriguing (I guessed one piece and was SHOCKED by the other).  Josie finally talks to Sam about being a witch.... how does it go?! YOU'LL HAVE TO READ TO FIND OUT! Needless to say I am DYING for the next book. I also love how there are some long term plots that are starting to reveal themselves, like who/what is trying to interfere with Josie's magic?!

I already miss Josie and this eclectic, cozy town and library!

I LOVED this book! I could not stop listening, it was the perfect Christmas arc and honestly I don't blame them for wanting to go on a cruise.... I am thinking about doing that one year hahaha.  People are so over the top and ridiculous about the holidays sometimes, like why do they care what other people are doing?! I absolutely loved the ending and how the neighbors treated each other, remembering the best parts of Christmas.  I think I should read this every November.

PS: The audiobook is fantastic!

A perfect Christmas cozy, this book had such a festive atmosphere between the ugly sweater contest, the adorable lit up town square, and all the other holiday activities going on. I would LOVE to visit Briar Creek during Christmastime and enjoy all the small town feels.  Of course, a murder is not a greatttttt way to celebrate the holidays, but at least Lindsay and the team were on it! The idea of an author in residence is so interesting and of course all the drama it brought made for an exciting book. I was SHOCKED by the ending and loved seeing Robbie and Emma and how their relationship is growing.  I always enjoy time with these characters that feel like friends at this point! Ohhh and the book discusses book banning and I love that it showcases all the downfalls of book banning and how harmful it can be.

Note: I listened to the audiobook and loved it!

This series gets better and better! I loved seeing Miriam and her family again. This book jumps ahead a few years and I loved seeing her kiddos growing up, especially Mani and his love for cooking and food! Roberto is also growing on me, though I honestly don't envy Miriam hehe.  I loved all the fun facts about food anthropologist and how similar dishes are slightly altered in different cultures and boy did this book make me SO HUNGRY.  This book is even more in depth that the summary implies and I love how the author handles the different cultures and ancestors involved in this book with such respect and care. Miriam is so accepting and open minded and I love her so much.  I was hooked by the story and cannot wait for more!

Note: I LOVE LOVE these audiobooks and you really should listen them to truly enjoy these fabulous characters to the fullest.

When the 1st book was so perfect, it can be hard to jump right into the next one with my hopes and tensions high. Well this author NAILED IT. This book was perfect in it's own and I could NOT put it down. I was seriously sneaking pages whenever I could because every single chapter and page had tension, banter, amazing heists, and incredible characters.  The wits and instincts of these thieves (not to mention their bravery!) was astounding and had my absolutely hooked.  I loved the personal and relationship growth that Ross goes through even in this short time of the book. I love how savvy she is and how she won't back down; instead she will stick up for herself and her friends even to her own mom. I just loved every single thing about this book!

I will now read absolutely everything this author graces us with!

I absolutely loved this book! This is my favorite romance author and this was another fabulous book. I loved the setting (seriously this had me wanting to book a plane ticket to Napa asap for the wine and food) and the meet-cute of the two MCs.  Their chemistry was perfect and the "forbidden" relationship longing and angst was just so well written.  Yes there were secrets, but it all just felt so realistic and true, flawed characters and all. I loved how Margot was a smart and savvy business owner who took no BS from people. I enjoyed how much growth there was for each character and the different relationships in the book (romantic, friendship and familial). Another fabulous book.

Audiobook note: I LOVED the audiobook and the dual narration!

Goodbye yucky mother-in-law and hello beautiful DR and PR! I could read about these gorgeous places forever and the food was literally mouth watering! I loved reading about all of Miriam's trips around Puerto Rico around Three Kings Day showcasing their traditions, culture, and delicious food. Of course there was plenty of drama and mystery to keep you hooked to the pages and I loved the ending!

audiobook note: I LOVE and highly recommend listening to these books, especially if you (like me) don't speak Spanish and want to hear it gorgeously and seamlessly spoken, to really help immerse yourself into the story and with the characters.  It was super easy to follow along with the way this author writes that you do not need to be fluent to get the gist of anything in Spanish/Spanglish.

100/10 perfection no notes.

When I saw this being marketed for lovers of Ocean 11 I knew it was going to be great (that is my favorite movie), but this blew me away even more than that. These are freaking TEENAGERS doing the most ingenious and heart-poundingly heists on a regular basis! I loved absolutely everything about this book; from the very first scene, to the fabulous characters, the heists in action and all the twists. The ending had my jaw on the floor and at one point around 70% I told my partner to go to bed because I wasn't sleeping until I finished this book. Ross is THE BEST, my favorite fictional thief of all time. She is smart, sassy, and made me laugh even when she was in precarious situations.  She leads with her head and is learning to trust her heart a bit more, which after all she has been through, I do not blame her attitude of caution when it comes to other people.  The writing was on point with the pacing, atmosphere, drama and emotions and I will now read anything this author writes!

Fast paced, funny, heartPOUNDING scenes, perfect ending.... I am immediately diving into the next one!
