Barbacoa, Bomba, and Betrayal by Raquel V. Reyes
4.0
Goodbye yucky mother-in-law and hello beautiful DR and PR! I could read about these gorgeous places forever and the food was literally mouth watering! I loved reading about all of Miriam's trips around Puerto Rico around Three Kings Day showcasing their traditions, culture, and delicious food. Of course there was plenty of drama and mystery to keep you hooked to the pages and I loved the ending!
audiobook note: I LOVE and highly recommend listening to these books, especially if you (like me) don't speak Spanish and want to hear it gorgeously and seamlessly spoken, to really help immerse yourself into the story and with the characters. It was super easy to follow along with the way this author writes that you do not need to be fluent to get the gist of anything in Spanish/Spanglish.
