The Husband's Secret by Liane Moriarty

Despite not many positive opinions about this book I really enjoyed the storyline. Yes, internal dialogue sometimes seemed to long but it did not interrupted the flow of the book. I enjoyed this book during my summer trip and finished it quick.
The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins

I don't know how many start to give, 2 or 3? It was a quite a story. I like those moments linked to The Hunger Games. But also many part of the book was confusing. There was way to many unnecessary characters who didn't change the story but their amount confused the storyline the most. I will definently not come back to this book but I will look forward to the next part to see how the story goes.
Talking to Strangers: What We Should Know about the People We Don't Know by Malcolm Gladwell

Audiobook.
Honestly, I was excited to have this book behind me. If you think that the author will teach you how to talk itch strangers, you are on the wrong side of the road. More than that, the author will definitely prove to you that we don't know how to talk with strangers providing broad and morbid descriptions of reality. He knows a lot of stories, those who are important in the light of current events, but also stories that can be very triggering for people struggling with trauma or mental health. I have ambivalent feelings towards that book. It started strong, as I was excited to see what else he can tell me about humanity. But more we went into a very detailed description of intimate relationships with children, he lost me. Not that this is not important, not that this is something to be quiet about. It's a difficult subject of which there is a need to talk but also there is a need to have in mind the audience of this book. But that wasn't the worst. The whole chapter about depression was absolutely not for me and I completely missed the point. The end of the book came out as a nice summary and it seemed as the author concluded the first chapter.
It's not a book for everybody. Definitely, it's not a self-help book.

Atomic Habits: An Easy & Proven Way to Build Good Habits & Break Bad Ones by James Clear

Audiobook.
I gave it 5 stars, not because it is a piece of art among self-help books, but simply because of its simplicity. I love how the author connects classic behaviorism in the shape of Pavlov and Skinner's findings into simple human behavior that by repetition and the associated case became habits. I love this summary as validation of my personal findings in basic psychology courses with the addition of some practices and strategies that can be implemented to achieve success.

It took me a while to really think through what I'd like to say about this book.
I'll start with the fact that I ready enjoyed reading it. It was pleasurable and easy read. I felt entertained with a storyline. I might be very biased about the characters in this book because the personal reasons. Myself, being a babysitter for a long time it seemed a little traumatic in the beginning. Like ale my PTSD from that time comes back to hunt me. More and more I get to know the characters, more I understood there are many stories that could be told. I feel as tho those characters could be less shallow and have some more psychological background. For me answering questions of why someone is doing what she's doing is crucial to might try to understand that person and sometimes I like having less to my own interpretation. Like I said, if I decided to read this book despite my own bias, I'd like to have some more insight of what the author picture in her head about those characters. Besides that, I like this book very much and even ending, that I know many disapproved of, I found very life like.
