@jlseegarsauthor can do no wrong. Period! And this novella proves it. Top tier everything!

This story starts off with Amina showing up to a resort in Tulum a week in advance for her sisters wedding. But unfortunate for her, her ex-husband, Jaxson, will be there as well and boy is she in for a treat! Amina has a plan to try and stay far away from Jaxon as possible but his plan is to not only come back home with his wife but with her heart as well.

Before we get into this beautiful coming back together love story, can we talk about the micro locs representation we received from Amina sister!!! When I read that I literally lost my mind!!! It’s such a joy when you are reading a book and you can self insert yourself into the story because a character has your features!!! Something as simple as her sister’s bright red micro locs had me grinning from ear to ear because I felt seen!

Amina and Jaxon is everything but I can’t lie and say Jaxon didn’t steal the show! That man held no punches when it came to winning his wife back. From admitting he was wrong, to dating her and remembering the small things about her, to confessing his love for her repeatedly, to promising her things would be different this time around and actually showing her by not picking up his phone when they are talking, to feasting on her body like she was his last meal before execution. Jaxon has my heart! Forever!

This was my first book by this author and I had a fun time!

This story starts off with Gigi Wong wrapping up her final year of high school. Gigi has always wanted to be the best at everything but this last year of school is really shining some light on some unclear areas in her life and some dark spots on her character. When a school project goes south and her budding relationship with the new girl in school turns upside down, Gigi has to make some serious decisions that will affect her life forever.

I felt a range of emotions when I was reading this book. From loving Gigi's relationship with her family and how much pride she took in the family business to laughing at how easy going and free her relationship with her bestfriend Kyle is, even though it's so obvious that he has feelings for her but Gigi is too blind to see it. But I also loved how the author wasn't afraid to show the dark areas of Gigi's character. Yes, Gigi is the prefect student and she does things out of the kindness of her heart, but she also has a lot to lean when it comes to having multiple groups of friends and treating them all the same no matter what their situation is.

Ughh I hate when this happens!! You fall in love with certain side characters and get so hype for their book. But when you finally get to their story it’s just falls flat! Why?!?!

This story starts off with Eloisa having a meeting with her family where she finds out that she’s been promised to a ruthless heartless mafia heir who doesn’t mind ending someone to get his way. One night at her night club she meet the man of her dreams but she knows she promised to someone else. So they enter into this friendship just to get to know each other better. On the day of her wedding as she’s getting ready to walk down the aisle, she comes face to face with her new husband and the man who lie about his identity, Sebastian.

The primis of this book had me sold. The characters in this book that I met in previous books in the series had me hooked. But the follow through let me down! The smutt was great, the danger was great, but I just wish this story was a little longer and Eloisa didn’t take him back so fast. I wanted Sebastian to grovel!!! Other than that the book is ok.

Wow! I have no words. This was my first time reading this author’s work and reading a book like this, which I think it can fall under historical fiction, but it will not be my last.

This story is set during the Mexican America War as Ximena’s gets word that her husband, who joined forces to help defend his homeland in Rio Grande, has been killed and she and her Nana has no other choice but to flee their home in search for shelter. Once Ximena learns she’s a healer like her grandma’s, she becomes a nurse to help injured soldiers in the Mexican Army. As the war went on, Ximena meet an American soldier who is discussed with how the American Army is treating their soliders so he decides to leave and join the Mexican Army. Once they meet their love story is one of love, heartbreak, passion, and service.

This book will have you engaged from the start! From the beautiful depiction of the area and Mexican culture to how much rich history and research the author put into this project will leave you in awe and a little sad that this isn’t being taught in school. Ximena and Riley’s love story is told alongside a very ugly story of war and how much it takes from everyone in its wake and how lives will forever be changed by evil leaders and their greed.

When I tell you I’m going to be glued to my kindle or paperback when the full length novel come out this spring!! I’m so ready!!

This story follows a group of high school seniors, one Beta girl (Emily) and four Alpha boys (Ares, Killian, Rafe, and Nox), that have been tossed around the foster care system so much that they all live at the same group home. They’ve grown so close to each other and vowed to always look after one another and stay together as a pack. All was going great until it came time for Emily’s seventeenth birthday were she was supposed to present as a Beta. But when Emily present as an Omega that’s when shit hits the fan.

Listen!!!! When I tell you there better be some top tier groveling in the full length novel because the way that book ended broke all pieces of my heart!! I understand why the boys made the decision they made to protect Emily but the pain she felt losing them was too much!!! And the book is only 89 pages!!! I can’t wait to see what happened to them in the future and if they will ever be one again!

Yea…..no. I really wanted to like this book but it wasn’t for me at all.

To me, both characters are very bland and didn’t have anything in common so their romance in the end was cringy. I felt like their age and mentally didn’t match at all. Poppy’s main issues could have been solved if she went to therapy early on in life and realized she is the only one in control of her life and happiness. I felt like she used Alex as an emotional dumping ground and she didn’t take any accountability for her emotional health.

Also Poppy was so ungrateful about everything she had which was a family that loved her and put her through college and the fact that she was able to go on vacations every summer without any real worries. Then to graduate and have the job of her dreams that pays for all her travels to anywhere in the world. Just for Poppy to come full circle and say she’s not happy in life because Alex and her stop talking two year prior. Yea that just screams codependency. This book would have been better if they were in college and she went through this whole self discovery and she learned how to have a healthy relationship with herself and Alex. Also this book would have been top tier if Poppy actually met people on vacation that gave her a different perspective on life.

I had really high hopes for this book but it didn’t deliver. Will I be reading book two to see where the story goes because I’m kind of invested, yes!

This story starts off with Lucifer working for the Walker Security Company while trying to move on from the love of his life betraying him and almost killing him. But one day he receives a phone call from someone in his past threatening to kill him and the only woman he’ll ever love. So Lucifer has to decided to either put the past behind him and save her or let their demons swallow them up whole.

Lucifer and Ana have been separated for 2 years but that didn’t simmer down the angst, turmoil, frustration, and tension between the two of them as they try to put an end to the danger that wants them dead. I’m going to continue reading this series because I really want to know how these two make it back to each other after all the hurt and pain they caused each other.

I was hoping for so much more with this book but I did have a laughing good time.

This story starts off with Solange being practically forced into helping her cousin with last minute things before her clients wedding. While Solange is on the hunt for a broom of all things, she runs into the bride of the wedding have a very intimate and intense conversation with a man that is not the groom. Minutes away from the wedding Solange is trying to figure out if she should tell the groom about his soon to be wife’s affair or if she should confront the bride and call her out on her bs. But is Solange fashion she finally makes up her mind in the middle of the wedding and convinces the bride that isn’t what she wants. Needless to say the wedding doesn’t happen and Solange ends up fake dating the groom.

This book started out so strong for me. I was enjoying seeing their chemistry and banter and love the journey they took to come to their senses and finally be together. But somewhere in the middle of the book it fell short for me. I don’t know what it was but I kept comparing it to the first book and it wasn’t giving to me. Maybe because I read the book while traveling so my interest die while reading it but I will be rereading because for the portion of the book that was good, I was having a great time.

If I had to discribe this book in one word it would be: UN-F*CKING-HINGED!!! And I ate that sh*t tf up!

This story starts off with a little girl name Sibby who been hiding for years in the walls of this traveling fair called Satan’s Affair. While the fair travel from state to state, Sibby and her four henchmen are on a mission to kill all the demons that enter into the dollhouse at the fair. So anyone that has a “rotten” smelling soul, Sibby will sing a very creepy song to signal to her henchmen to trap the person inside the dollhouse so she can take them deep inside the walls and unalive them!

So everyone knows if you want to meet Daddy Zade before reading Haunting Adeline you have to read Satan’s Affair, but I wasn’t prepared for how unhinged, jaw dropping and insane of a ride this book is. Now the book isn’t going to make any sense for the first 50-60% of it because towards the end, Sibby and all of her manic ways start to make sense and my heart hurt so much for her and all she went through and how her past effected so much of her future. I didn’t know I could fall in love with someone as unhinged as her but I need more of my Sibby!
