@hdcarltonauthor has reached the top of my list for dark romance authors!!! She’s an instant buy! I shouldn’t have love this book as much as I did but now I’m wondering where is my stalker because Daddy Zade has ruined me!

This story starts off with Adeline moving into her late grandmother’s haunted Manor. Now Adeline is very successful author and she loves everything about hunted houses, ghosts, and being scared. So moving into her grandmothers haunted has Adeline excited. But what Adeline didn’t know was that she was going to have the scare of her life after she moved in. Everywhere Adeline turned she would come face to face with a rose and every night she looked out her window, he would be standing right there. Her stalker. Out of her mouth she says she wants him to leave, but her body is saying something different.

Daddy Zade!!!!! If you know, then you know. This man would kill anyone that did the things he’s done to Adeline but he can’t seem to bring himself to be a better man and baaaaaby, I don’t want him to. He’s everything!! And the things that comes out of his mouth is unreal! I’ve never tabbed a book as much as I tabbed this one. From the one liners, the crazy things Zade does to Adeline because he can’t control his love and obsession for her, the danger he fights on a daily bases and how much good he’s doing in the world, to how unhinged he will become if any man touches her was everything. So far this is my favorite dark romance duet!

I wanted to love this book so much because the book cover is stunning and everyone else loves it so much but I just couldn’t do it.

This story starts off with B and her best friend Jenna going for a run in her neighborhood when B accidentally bumps into a very handsome boy name Jamie. As B is trying to gather her thoughts and find her voice to speak to him, in storms Jenna and Jamie is a goner for her. For the next 12 years B and Jamie find themselves wanting to be with each other but timing never seems to work out for them.

Everything was going great! I loved the first 30% of the book and the last chapter of Love Whiskey from Jamie’s POV. But everything else was pure irritation, annoyance, and slightly childish. I guess since the book is supposed to be heavy angst that it did it’s job and I can see why people love this book but I couldn’t get pass all the hurt and pain they caused so many people because they couldn’t get their sh*t together. B and Jamie continued to say time wasn’t on their side when really it was them standing in their own way. I love the message this book gave but I wish it didn’t have to be at the expense of all the relationships they were in during these 12 years. I’m always game for a toxic relationship but I wish Jamie and B realized sooner that their love for each other is toxic and they didn’t need to drag anyone else through their pain disfuntion.

This was my first time reading/listening to a book by this author and I had an amazing time!

This story starts off with Deja working as a college professor trying to become tenured in her department. But the road to tenured has been very rough for her. Over the years, she’s been pinning over this fine tall, best dressed, highly intelligent history professor Alejandro. But what happens after a long faculty meeting when Alejandro offers to walk Deja back to her office and confess that he’s been pinning after her too? It turns into some very long office hours!

Straight out the gate I fell in love with Alejandro. From the way he talked and affirmed Deja, to the way he took his time when is came to pleasing her, listening to her, taken care of her, and putting his heart on the line for her. There was never a point in time in this book were I didn’t love Alejandro. This man cooked for her even though cooking isn’t his strongest skill. (Also I hope his brothers get their own book!) Alejandro is the blueprint. There were many instances where I wish Deja anxiety was talked about more and I wish the book would have taken a step further and gotten her professional help but I’m glad that Alejandro was there for her and understood the pressure she was under with trying to become tenured.

This book gave me everything I needed from an Omegaverse but left me with so many questions that need answer immediately! I can’t wait for book 2 to drop later this year!

This story starts off with Bliss days away from graduating from the Omega institute where she has spent the last 4 years learning how to be the perfect mate to an Alpha of the institute choosing. But as graduation is fast approaching, Bliss is thinking more and more about the people who put her in this situation in the first place. Her pack. Will she ever forgive them and move on with her life? Will she ever see them again to ask them why they betrayed her in the first place? Will she stick it to them and get sold to the highest bidder?

Omg!!! I need the second book now!!! Like Why??? How??? When??? Why didn’t they tell her the truth from the beginning? How did they find them? When did the boys start having their own relationship with each other outside of Bliss? I need answers now! If you are looking for a rollercoster of emotions, a story that will leave you guessing and a lot of group activity, please read this book!

No thoughts just vibes!

I was so surprised how much these 16 pages made me care so much for two characters!

Since this is a very short story, it jumps right into the Grim Reeper feeling very sad, angry, and depressed about his very dark life. He loathes the fact that everyone associate him with death and sadness and his only job is to away life. One day he meets the complete opposite of him, Cupid. And wonders if death himself deserve love as well.

@authorkwebster I need so much more from these characters. In these pages I got to see two halves of a whole come together as one. It made me think so much deeper than darkness and light, or The Grim Reeper and Cupid. It showcased the concept that we all serve a purpose in this life and finding love alone the way makes it so much sweeter no matter how good or bad of a person you my seem to others.

This was my first book by the author and it will not be my last! This is officially a Jessa Kane stan account lol

This story starts off with the local town police captain name Brody who went to a bar after a rough day of work. While at the bar drinking his day away he meets a beautiful woman but what gets his full attention is the girl on her phones lock screen, her daughter London. Brody strikes up a master plan to marry the woman from the bar just to get her daughter in his bed and in his custody.

At this point, I have to read all of Jessa Kane’s back list because the way I read this book and enjoyed every second of it gave me life! If you know, you know!

This story starts off with Mase visiting his brother for the day. While he’s there he tries his hardest to keep his eyes and hands to himself but it’s hard to do when his step niece Ripley is constantly walking around the house in very small bikinis. Ripley has always had I thing for her step uncle and she doesn’t want to be with anyone but him. So she comes up with a master plan to seduce him and give him her virginity.

So far, if I had to pick I book I wanted to be longer by Jessa Kane it would be this one. I really enjoyed the characters and feel like with Mase’s jealousy, possessiveness and hot headedness and Ripley’s need to get under Mase’s skin makes for one hell of a ride!

I really enjoyed this book and I suggest if you do decide to read it, listen to it on audio. You will not regret it. The voice actors did an amazing job!

This story starts off with Luca getting up the courage to drive to her old home to clear it out and sell it after her father recently passed away. Being in public is very hard for Luca due to some past trauma that she went through when she was younger which has resulted in her living a very closed off and secluded life. When she gets to her childhood home, she noticed that there’s a very angry letter from her childhood pen pal, Griffin, that she stop writing to years ago. After reading the letter Luca decides that it’s only fair that she writes him back explaining why she left him hanging all those years. One letter leads to another and soon they find themselves wanting/needing more but will they be able to get past their issues to finally meet in person?

If you are looking for a story that will make your heart feel full and have you laughing from chapter to chapter, read this book! I can’t remember the last time a childhood friends to lovers book made me swoon and smile so hard listening to this it. Griffin is so sweet and understanding when it comes to Luca’s conditions. He tries everything in his power to make her feel safe and comfortable around him. This man literally put the world at her feet just to see her smile. He was perfect and I’m so glad that Luca was able to take a chance on him and get the love she deserves.
