Okay... I  get the hype.  I'm not even sure I can pinpoint why I loved this book so much, but I binged the audiobook in a day.  I think it was all the forbidden stolen touches and kisses that made my skin set aflame.  The self made billionaire who likes a simple small town naïve girl.  It's almost cliché, but it was like chasing a high because I couldn't put it down. The pacing was perfect.  There was just enough angst and blurred lines to keep me invested in this couple.  I can't wait to continue the series because I have a feeling it's about to get spicier and spicier.

I love this series for a multitude of reasons.  First, I am in love with these characters.  I am so invested in their past story and how the moving parts and secrets are effecting each of them today.  Second, the angst is palpable, and I LIVE for the angst.  I love a good enemies to overs and a second chance romance, and these men are hell bent on holding their grudges, and it's creating such a delectable tension.  The plot is amazing, and as it unfolds I can see there are so many more secrets for us to discover.  Thirdly, I am in love with the amount of dance scenes throughout this series.  If you love dance and enjoy the way people express emotions through their dance, this book personifies this.  I can't wait to continue the series!

Did not finish book. Stopped at 38%.
I DNF'd at 38%.  The writing is really good, but I think I was expecting more romance focus, and it's definitely plot focused.  It's more of a suspense with a little bit of a romantic suspense on the side. The narration for the audiobook was good, the story just wasn't holding my interest personally.

"It was a hunger, a need to possess her completely, body and soul. I wanted to envelop her in darkness, where there was no escape from my grasp, and she'd be forever bound to me. She wasn't just everything; she was the only thing, and I'd descend to the depths of madness to ensure she stayed mine."

I loved this book so much! Ari is a totally different kind of deranged than Lincoln, but I was totally there for his golden retriever energy. His cocky attitude and his bromance with Lincoln had me laughing the entire book.  Blake's past haunts her throughout this book, and we get to see a peek into her mental health struggles, which gave this book a little more depth as well. I am a firm believer on the audiobooks for these ones because I love this narration so much.  I laughed and swooned so hard.  This is totally different type of unhinged than I've ever read before, and I love this take on a stalker.

I have been waiting on this couple's happily ever what feels like forever!  I am so happy to see this story through.  I'm so happy that these characters have a mixture of feelings from their 'old selves' present throughout this love story.  I love seen the similarities and struggles we saw through the first story reaper.  I think they stayed true to their characters, yet it was a completely different love story.  I think the ending was so perfect and spot on.  Adam deserved some time to shine, and Naya stayed true to her sweet self being happy for his success.  I'm a little sad to see all these characters go.

Romantasy
Fated Mates

I am just so in love with the concept of this romantasy trilogy in general, and I'm now forever attached to all the characters.   I think I love these books so much because they're unique and one of a kind take on angels and how their world works fascinate me.  I plowed through this book after reading book one because I'm desperate for the HEA I need for one couple.  I love Celeste's character the best in this book.  She's sassy, no nonsense, calls them like she sees them personality makes me so happy.  I loved the narration for this audiobook too!  I was actually surprised this was a single narrator narration.

"Our love started in the dark.  It was planted in the deepest part of the ground, watered with secrets, nourished through infidelities.  And yet, somehow, our attachment grew into something real, reaching the edge of the surface until we pierced through the darkness of the dirt that held us, into the light of a new day."

The cheating trope is not typically my favorite trope, but Jescie Hall writes so well I was compelled to love this forbidden romance.  This book had so much depth, feelings, and angst. These character's turmoil felt tangible.  The audio performance was amazing!  I loved watching this story that felt so real unfold into something beautiful. I also loved getting to see a glimpse into Kid's story as well, and I can not wait for that audiobook to release.

"My drink of choice was betrayal. And I stayed drunk on it for fourteen days..."

This is a second generation to the EKC, and although can be read separate I highly suggest the EKC first. This book had all the deception, thrills, and spice that always comes with the wild ride that is Amo Jones.  The book is a fast-paced suspense, friendship to toxic lovers, and a second generation of an esteemed elite secret society.  I loved seeing all the kids and their personalities developing. Money, lust, and a whole lot of deceit wrapped up in a fast-paced wild ride with a what the f*ck mind blowing ending all in this one book.  I love everything Amo writes, and this book is no exception.

"Into his mouth I poured my slowing heart beats and softening breaths until my body released my ruined soul from its cage of flesh and blood."

When I told you this book destroyed me! Ugh it was such an amazing book through and through.  The audiobook narration was perfection and duet style which is a plus.  This book has an implied HEA, but it's going to hurt, so have book 2 and 3 on standby because you'll want to binge it.  I love this take on angels and how they receive their wings.  It made me guessing 'the system'.  I have never felt so strongly for the love story between two beings, and have never raged so much for the unfairness of their world.  I hope you love this trilogy as much as I did.
