 I was a little lost the first half of this book. I thought it was a first of a series, but after reading reviews I realized it was a spin off from another series that I haven't read yet. I did end up enjoying it in the end, but I spent the first half of the book trying to 'catch up'. I'm really love the vibes and the author's writing so I'm excited to read more in the series now that I have a better understanding of this world. 

 I am not sure why Sin gets so much hate because I am a s!ut for this man. It's definitely the darkest of all the L.O.R.D.S. books so I highly encourage you to read all the trigger warnings, but the things this man would do for Elli is swoon worthy. This book is full of filth, suspense, and the best dirty talk around. I don't think there's a single Shantel book I'm not absolutely in love with, but this was the first one I got to listen to on audio and it was AMAZING! Don't listen to it in public... or do what I did and listen to it on a flight trying to hide your face from the person sitting next to me.

There is nothing like some really good banter in an enemies to lovers book, and I was eating this one up. This duet style narration is absolute perfection!  The angst that goes along with an enemies to lovers can truly be felt between these two. I also love that this a very unique version of sports romance.  I love seeing the female in some sort of sports specialty and we love a man on a bike, so a gymnast paired with a stunt biker is just absolutely dynamic.  This was a new to me author, and I'm absolutely thrilled I gave this audiobook a listen!

I listened to this book in an audiobook format and the narration was electric!  This duet style audiobook performed by Troy Duran and Angelina Rocca has such an amazing chemistry between the characters. Oh did I mention there's an accent involved? The magnetic pull of these two just hit right.  I love the unique twist on a princess being a mercenary spy.  Everyone views her as a 'typical princess' but little do they know she's highly intelligent, strong willed, independent, and borderline lethal.  When she attracts the attention of a Russian with ties to the Bravata, things get a little complicated for her line of business.

Instant tears within the first few chapters.  I mean my god Jennifer, why do you enjoy my tears.  I'll send you my therapy bill.  This was one of the hardest earned HEA I've ever read in my life, and it was just sad.   It was so emotionally written and I was so involved in the outcome of these two.  Jennifer knows how to write a book that will break you soul and put it back together again.

When I tell you I can't sing enough praises about this book!  Oh my gosh I am obsessed, committed, and hung up on this series.  I had no interest in Rook in book one, but when I tell you I am feral for this man in this book.  The suspense and overall arc plot to these stories is just insanely captivating. The character development has me so invested in this series I can't put it down.  This man loves fire, and I swear if you gave him a match and a little bit of gasoline, he'd set the world ablaze for this girl. The angst and banter is on point for an enemies to lovers.  The betrayal is gut wrenching.  The bromance between the guys is honestly heartwarming.  There's not a single thing I don't absolutely love about this book.  I even teared up a little when we got to see the past with Rosemary and the scene with Silas at her grave just about crushed me.  I ate this audiobook up in a day flat.

I love an intimidating man in a mask who stalks the shit out of his girl, but is a complete cinnomin roll when it comes to her.  Anyone else or is it just me?  Oh my gosh, this book had not just an amazing plot, suspense, mental representation, and good spice, but it also had this aesthetic and richness to the setting that made me want to dive in head first.  I think I'm in love with this man honestly.  He's an unaliver, but he'd take on the world for this woman, and I am here for those vibes.  It's just everything I love in a dark romance and it has all the vibes I want from a secret society.

I have been anticipating this read for a while, and the wrap up for this trilogy was perfect.  I had a hard time getting into the beginning initially.  There's a lot of healing from past trauma and character growth at first, but when the suspense and spice kicks back in it really picks up speed.  The plot twist at the end had me completely blind sided!  I absolutely adore A.R. Breck, and I honestly wish more readers would dive into her work!

So when is book two out on audio again?  The suspense and secret society vibes leaves one craving for all the answers in this super spicy full of angst romantic suspense.  If you love a taste of the forbidden, extra spicy spice with a side of hella dirty talker than this book is going to light you on fire.  I just can't believe it ended that way, and I need the next book ASAP!  The audiobook was great, and I'm always left surprised by some of these narrators that are able to do so many amazing different voices for all these characters.

As always when it comes to books by Cassandra Robbins, this book was hot!  There was such good enemies to lovers tension and angst.  The audiobook performance was AMAZING.  It really brought these characters to life.  I love the dirty talk the Amo has, and I love the bratty side of the FMC.  It paired so well together.  I also loved that we got a little bit of suspense / mystery in the plot as well.
