Pucking Wild by Emily Rath

The spice was amazing! Top tier for sure, and I love a good power play dynamic with a dominant woman, but this book was lacking some of the humor for me that the first book had. I think it probably could have shorter and I would have enjoyed it more. That being said I loved the spice, I loved both of the characters, and it was a quick easy read.

If you love dark romance with a lot of suspense and mystery to the plot, then this book was everything. The audiobook was so amazing with a dynamic duo of narration by Grayson Owens and Lucy Rivers. I ate it up in a day and then forced three of my friends to listen too because I am just obsessed. There's not a ton of spice, but with the mysterious alpha hole friend group of boys I just at up the suspense. The angst and the tension was top tier between these two, and the pacing in this book was just spot on. I can't wait to read the others story.

I ate this book up. I am a sucker for a strong FMC, and I'm also a sucker for the Bordeux duo in audio. The story line was captivating, and the angst was tangible. The ending was deliciously heart pounding. This duet was a lot of fun. I do wish there was less relationship drama in the second book of this duet because it got me to be attached to the one MMC more than the other three, but I did love seeing this side of Simon because I am obsessed. Somehow these five just work together, and I can't wait to go and backlist the other books in this series!

The banter, the jokes, and the spice were all perfection in this book. I laughed so hard in multiple parts throughout this book so even the 'fluff' of the book was a good time! The spice was indeed top tier, and since this book gets a lot of hype for the spice I was worried I would be disappointed, but I in fact was not. I love in a hockey romance when I get to see scenes on the ice as well, so bonus points there! I loved how all three of these men had very different personalities and they each brought something different to the table. You have the quiet broody alphahole, and Jake and Kaleb have the whole grumpy sunshine thing going on. This was such a good pallet cleanser between my dark romance reads.

I am impressed with how complex this relationship dynamic is, and I was so attached to all the interconnected relationships within this why choose romance. By the end of book 3 Nicollette ends of with 8 other men, but some of these men also share a beautiful relationship with one another. I do think because of the amount of men within this book it was harder for me to really enjoy the relationships of the men that come later in the series due to a lack of relationship development, but the men from book one have my heart and Bo. The plot is super high action, and if you love a strong sassy FMC who is also an unaliver, you're going to love Nicollette!
Shout out to this narration. I loved the FMC voice and she played fierce and sassy so well! She played a switch like a boss! And the MMC had this difficult task of playing like 8 guys and some had accents, so bravo!

I can't believe this is a debut novel! If you love mafia romance with a major possessive alpha-hole you are going to devour this duet! This is the story of Wren and Lex whose families are rivals. Lex takes Wren for his own in the name of revenge, and it instantly gets really heated. If you love a super sassy strong as hell FMC Wren is your girl! This book was super-fast paced and almost insta lust. I would have loved to see a little more intimate moments for relationship growth, but this book full of action and I binged it in a day! The plot twist at the end of book one was insane!
