Love Looks Pretty on You by Lang Leav
3.0
You learn from this book. You realize something as you go through this book about how love works, makes you feel, and how it can break you as easily as how you started. If you are looking for something to give you a little push or if you cannot speak up to someone about your emotions, I think you should try this book. It helped me sort out my feelings, much more of a wake-up call on love, but this is not the book that I would always go back to. I love how it had emphasized the importance of women. Do not belittle yourself just because you are a woman in love. You can do more. You are worth it.

"When people say impossible, they usually mean improbable."
4.5/5
I really enjoyed reading the second book! I am a slow reader so I was able to take in a lot from the book as I read. I was skeptical at first because of the mixed reviews I see from other people, but thankfully I didn't let it stop me from reading the trilogy. Although I must admit that there were some parts in the book that made me want to skip or put it down.
To be honest, I read the book for the Darkling and Alina, and now that I have finished it, let me tell you that I absolutely fell in love with the twins and Sturmhond! They literally made reading exciting for me. I'm also happy about the action scenes because I could actually understand them. This was such a rollercoaster ride for me, and I can't wait to start on the third and last book.

City of Bones by Cassandra Clare

Finally, I've decided to read this book. I really like Cassandra Clare's writing style and definitely prefer the third person rather than the first person because it just gives you a wider view of the world, the characters, and their emotions which was pretty helpful for my imagination. I'd always like to be able to imagine the world of the book that I am reading. I rated it three stars because it didn't really make me that attached to it and I get that because it is the first book that calls for an introductory part of the universe that Cassie Clare has created. I have watched the movie and finished the series so I knew bits and pieces of it, but for someone reading this book the first time, it might be too informative because of how the monsters and characters were dumped all together.
