4.5 stars. The beginning made me scared but the book got progressively better and better! Would be 5 stars IF WE GOT THE WEDDING!!!
Also, call me salty but I LIVE for Aaron hating Sam and Nouria. I’ll be real, they get on my nerves.
And Juliette standing up for Warner? AHHHHHHH

It took me 6 LONG months to finish this book… I felt that the book dragged on for much too long. It wasn’t necessary.

This book is fairly short, and written in a way which is easy to understand. The premise was very interesting and I enjoyed the message.

My opinions of this book are incredibly mixed and intense, so please excuse this confusing review/rant.
This book is so incredibly full of cliches, it's unbearable! It may sound like I am exaggerating; trust me, I am not. The inner monologue of the female main character was (quite frankly) EXHAUSTING to read, and the whole "tiny little girl" thing was frustrating. The MC is literally 20 fucking years old and yet everyone treats her like she's 10!!!
I swear, the amount of times I had to read about the FMC being "small" (She's 5 and a half foot/167cm) "ugly" (LITERALLY EVERYONE WAS IN LOVE WITH HER) and "skinny" (this was constantly written as a negative, but seemed to me as though it wanted to appeal to readers who want to be that skinny bitch that people paid attention to and LITERALLY TRIED TO FORCE FEED) was fucking insane. It was painful to read and I honestly think my brain is damaged from the amount of eye-rolling I just went through.
AND WHY DID THIS BITCH ALWAYS HAVE VOMIT RUNNING DOWN HER MOUTH. THAT SHIT IS NASTY, GO SEE A DOCTOR, THAT ISN'T NORMAL!!
Also, the whole "damsel in distress, but she's actually a badass, but only sometimes, and the reasoning behind it isn't explained at all, but it was the only way for the author to make her a bit capable and femme fatale like, while still giving her a sad backstory and appealing to misogynistic stereotypes and ideals" thing was annoying as fuck and a pathetic excuse for a storyline. (No offense).
However, the writing (while being terrible in a literacy sense) was very easy to read, though it read like a Wattpad fanfiction (not AO3, don't get me wrong, it wasn't good enough for that). I also thought that the premise had a lot of potential and was kind of interesting. And I did read the entire book, and that's saying something, as I am VERY quick to DNF shit books. It was also a nice reprieve from the 1000 page high fantasy book I have been trying to get through for 4 months.
In conclusion, if you're in the mood for a trashy book, by all means, go ahead and read this. It totally lives up to that, and that's why I gave the book 2 stars instead of 1, because the trashiness was fun and relaxing to read. HOWEVER, I would never in a million bajillion years recommend this book to anyone I know in real life.
The end. Thank you for reading my thoughts. And yes, I will be reading the second book, and ignoring all the "little girl" talk because the cliffhanger has left me wanting more.

This book was more tolerable than the previous one. There was a lot less of the "treating the FMC like a child" trope, though there was still some, don't get me wrong.
Also, the gen-z humour that Sadie seems to have now, while funny at some times (she's a lot better in this book than the last), was very cringe at some points. Like why the fuck was this bitch telling everyone to get some therapy? That's weird.
AND WHY DOES SHE KEEP SAYING STUFF OUT LOUD ACCIDENTLY. DOES SHE NOT KNOW HOW TO SPEAK? This bitch is 20, I'm 16 and even I know when some things should not be said aloud. Even so, when I say stuff I KNOW THAT I SAY IT! How is she so stupid??
Also, Xerxes is amazing. So he gets a whole star.
The other star is dedicated to a) the world premise and idea, and b) Sadie being slightly less shitty this boook.

I was really hoping that this book would be okay, as I enjoyed the second book. However, this book is a pile of burning shit...
Firstly, what the FUCK was that ending?
The world building and premise was cool; the club thing was weird though and just felt like an excuse to write *cough cough* scenes.
My final complaint is all the male MC's acting like dicks after being rejected. They were all really creepy and no one respected Sadie trying to be grown up and responsible. The whole situation was really icky.

Spoiler
Why is Sadie's abuse being reasoned? Why does she feel grateful to Dick? And why the fuck is her story ending here?!! There was all that shit about the moon godess being inside her or whatever and her having to fight some war, yet the thing just ENDED!! Cool, we're doing Aran now, but the ending just makes no sense! The world building and premise was cool; the club thing was weird though and just felt like an excuse to write *cough cough* scenes.
