Sure, why not? It's a dark'ish, fun'ish, smutty'ish story. It is what it is.

We def lose the plot...a few times.

City girl goes over a waterfall in a canoe and then spends the night getting ravaged by a beefy undercover billionaire. Ok, I'm in.

Insta-love, age-gap breeding, dead friend's daughter, night-ops to take out a crazy drug dealer, and a sticker shop.

4 on 1. Crazy serial killer gets got. Everyone is basically happy, and a trip to the hospital gives everyone baby fever, so 80% of the book is trains and temperature taking...IYKYK

NGL, I'm totes fine with it.

3 on 1, lots of gaslighting, and lots of "Oh, that can't be ok."  More plot twists, more crazy backstories, and a diabolical subplot.

BUT! Also, lots of cinnadom yumminess, grumpy sunshine goodness, and 'touch her and die' swooniness!

Wow...just wow. This book is Fckd up, LOL, and I loved it. Nothing really happens in this book because she is 17 for most of it, and these men are 30ish. Yeah, I know. Calm down and unclutch your pearls. Nobody is forcing you to read this.

Does this book cross some lines? Yes. But all of these men should be in prison anyway, so... Like I said, nothing'ish happens'ish until she's 18'ish 👀 (I mean, we are talking minutes).

Overall, it's an angsty, moody teenage trainwreck full of plot twists.

Shut up! I love this book. I don't wanna hear it. Yes, it is absolutely absurd and borderline problematic, BUT it's so damn delicious for a dark mafia'ish romance that isn't trying to be anything but exactly that.

The MMC is 100% a psychopath, and the FMC is 100% damaged; they should not be good for each other actually, state lines should exist between them, BUT I never want them to ever be apart.

Read the content warnings because several serious traumatic events are described, and it is very graphic and emotional. I sobbed. And sobbed.  Also, lots of deaths/murders...but I personally feel like everyone got what they deserved :)

Damn, I really wanted to love this. It starts off so strong and feels like it's going to be the epitome of a dark mafia Beauty and the Beast retelling...but then, we kinda just lose the plot somewhere. Events just happen; we never revisit them. There's a random Ireland road trip in a...what I can only imagine being a golf cart 🤷🏻‍♀️ There's a hidden treasure that's causing a bunch of issues, I guess. The castle feels like something out of a cartoon villain story—let me explain: This castle must have some crazy spawn site because, at any given moment, there could be Bostonian assassins on the property. Now that I think about it, I honestly don't even know how the story ends. I do know there is a veterinarian's office that sees a bunch of action.

Whenever I'm in a mood or a slump, the dark MC romances never fail to set me straight. This isn't the first book in the series; actually, it's 6th...yeah, well, idgaf, it's the only one I've read. This book's blurb struck my mood just right, and I never looked back. There's some background stuff that I had no clue about, but I felt like it didn't mess up this story at all.

***NOTE***This is an age-gap romance between a 19 FMC (virgin) and a 29 MMC (psychopath) 😈 Yup, IDC, move on if you must.

My weakness is 100% grumpy sunshine, but the grumpy has to have some epic antisocial personality disorder. An overworked, grumpy CEO does NOT do it for me.

***ANOTHER NOTE***There are a TON of religious references in this story; actually, the whole damn thing revolves around religion, fanaticism, personal beliefs, and doubts. Heck, the MMC's name is Priest (and there is an entire rough and traumatic story behind that name).

I've seen a bunch of reviews complaining about the FMC, but honestly, I thought she was just fine...acted like what you'd expect an 18/19 year old to act.
