Dead Man Walking by Giana Darling

dark emotional tense medium-paced

4.5

Whenever I'm in a mood or a slump, the dark MC romances never fail to set me straight. This isn't the first book in the series; actually, it's 6th...yeah, well, idgaf, it's the only one I've read. This book's blurb struck my mood just right, and I never looked back. There's some background stuff that I had no clue about, but I felt like it didn't mess up this story at all.

***NOTE***This is an age-gap romance between a 19 FMC (virgin) and a 29 MMC (psychopath) 😈 Yup, IDC, move on if you must.

My weakness is 100% grumpy sunshine, but the grumpy has to have some epic antisocial personality disorder. An overworked, grumpy CEO does NOT do it for me.

***ANOTHER NOTE***There are a TON of religious references in this story; actually, the whole damn thing revolves around religion, fanaticism, personal beliefs, and doubts. Heck, the MMC's name is Priest (and there is an entire rough and traumatic story behind that name).

I've seen a bunch of reviews complaining about the FMC, but honestly, I thought she was just fine...acted like what you'd expect an 18/19 year old to act.
