This book made me like Callisto and Penelope even more if that's even possible. Both of them are still in denial I just adore how much Callisto trusts in her unlike certain other love interests. He always knew that she was lying when they met but that doesn't stop him from believing her. He knows that she wouldn't have looked so dumbfounded if she had known she had powerful magic. He has eyes and will come to his own conclusion. I love to compare his attitude compared to Winter and Reynold. 

We also got to see confused and worried Penelope. She has her plans but she can't help the way her heart feels around him. Callisto on other hand can't stop thinking about her. He's doing little things to her like sending her amazing dress and jewelry, so no wonder Penelope is growing fond of him.. He's clearly so into her but can't admit it to even to himself. I mean why else would he want to wear the cufflink she gave him as a birthday present in his ear like an earring?

I think after this book it's 100% clear that Penelope won't end up with Eckles. The relationship was weird enough but after what he did I don't see them getting over it. Also the fact that it was clear that Penelope doesn't show warmth to him unless she wants his percent to be up but she does to Callisto. 

I'm so over Reynold. Penelope just needs to breath and he's suspicious of her and he wonders why she doesn't like him and wants to run away from him? I need him to give her a hell of an apology for being the reason she was treated the way she was.

I love the friendship between Emily and Penelope and she better not choose the "real daughter" over her. Penelope and Emily started with the wrong foot but their relationship has grown so much from where it was in the first volume. Emily made Penelope's life comfortable and she was the fond of her. Penelope on other hand is the only person to ever appreciate Emily. 

I was liking Duke and Penelope's relationship, so this volume broke my heart. I think it was a lot more sad than what Eckles did. AFter all the effort Penelope did to change-- he clearly didn't trust her. 

All in all this volume had so much great moments. I didn't want to stop reading and I can't believe I need to wait MONTHS for the next volume. 

I think this is my favorite stalker romance so far!

I liked pretty much every friendship Saeris had in this book. I liked seeing Everlayne been there for her when Saeris was pulled to the fae world. I loved how hilarious Carrion was and always there for her. Renfis was more Fisher's friend but he was so nice to her. 

I loved the growth of Kingfisher's and Saeris relationship. There were times where I was convinced that I couldn't like them together but in the end I wished that the book hadn't ended I had go to see them more. He might've not been the nicest but he always gave her the truth. I enjoyed his character but I wish he had been more "villain-y" so he would have been more selfish instead of doing things to "protect" her.

Saeris was just the kind of love interest he needed. She's strong, unclingy, smart. They were enemies more of the book than not but we also got sweet moments like her being there for him and him being the only one to ever wash her hair.

I can't describe how annoying Danya was to me. She was there to just punch people when she was angry and just being her bitchy self. She's supposed to be over a hundred years old but she kept moaning about-- pretty much everything because of her temper and thinking that humans were below them. She managed to even ruin getting help because of her big mouth. You'd think that as a soldier she would know when to shut up.

I hope they can somehow fix the cleansing. 

I do not like dogs, so I loved that instead of Saeris getting one, she got a pet fox. That was something different and her naming it Onyx was just cute.

I can't really name a fantasy book where the world didn't make me bored but Quicksilver was different! I didn't skim at all and I was so pulled towards every single word. I loved how it wasn't too difficult and didn't have too much action to my taste. I loved that quicksilver were able to talk to Saeris and how much they liked Lorreth.

All in all I started to have my doubts about the romance in this book about midway through but Hart really pulled it off! I loved the world and I hope we get to see Hayden again in the second book. Books rarely shock me these days but this book managed to have few reveals that even shocked me.

After only getting 39% in after almost a week. I concur that this book wasn’t for me. It was just too long and I didn’t care if they would end up together or not.
