not bad but very confusingly written at times. the paragraphs jumped from character to character and year to year too often and it felt random and i kept getting confused before i knew what was happening. I wish she put little page divider lines (—).
i thought that the story really lacked a description of setting and context. i didn’t know which city they were in, how old they were, what Lily looked like or anything for ages. it was hard to imagine and get the movie in my head going

enjoyed. made me cry at the end. a bit cliche but much better than “people we meet on vacation”. most books i read about aspiring or established writers are similar in their description of writers block. but EH did a good job of it and i liked the research that went into the cult story

not what i usually read but i loved it. such a unique and beautiful book. educational. fiction intertwined with fact. very feminine and it was empowering. and i learnt a lot about womens sufferage and WW1. my only fault is that it was hard to envision at times
The Ruin by Dervla McTiernan

author did a great job at eliciting emotion. i felt anger and was annoyed and sad alongside the characters. good story, nice twist.

nice background into carrie’s character. was very short so i feel like it had more potential. but it was a good short story. i felt like it ended too soon and wasn’t as good of a twist as some of her other novels.
The Roommate by Dervla McTiernan

good short story with an intense plot. too short for a more in depth review
Good Girl, Bad Girl by Michael Robotham

amazing and chilling imagery. i want to give it 5 starts but i sort of predicted half the plot twist so that’s why it’s not a 5 star read. But it was one of the most unputdownable books i’ve ever read. i like the chapter length and the varying perspectives. i could literally see it like a movie going on so clearly. was very well written and described
