worth all the hype

wow this book was fucked up. and beautifully written 

someone returned this at the store today because they said it was too creepy to give to their 6 year old niece and described it as if A24 made a children’s book, so obviously i had to read it. and like, yeah, fair, but also it was very cool, the illustrations were beautiful, and it was a perfect little story for people who are itching for something magical and weird to happen to them

i actually cannot finish this book this guy is pissing me off too much (and i think that critiques of bell hooks’ theories are very valid and interesting he’s just making them horribly)
