I never thought an autobiography could make me cry, but here I am. Crying in public.

Thank you Michael for sharing your story!

This book was very predictable but that’s not always a bad thing. I read this on the aeroplane on the way back from holiday and it helped pass the time very quickly.

There was very strong character development throughout and a beautiful love story. I loved reading about Catherine and Mark, their friends and their journey. There were also side stories which were interesting and did not distract from the main plot.

Enjoyable read and would recommend! My rating: 3.5 stars!

I absolutely loved this book and I did not guess who the killer was!

Lots of twists, turns and drama. It was written very well and I am now intrigued to read more or Shari Lapena’s work!

I really enjoyed this book and the way it was written from a child’s perspective. I enjoyed her take on the events and the innocent understanding of everything.

It was a book with many layers and I’m sure if I re-read it I will pick up more than I did the first time.

There were clear themes and messages throughout the story and it managed keep me hooked throughout!

I enjoyed all the British references, little quips and quotes and I felt attachment to the characters!

Even though I felt that all the ends were not entirely tied up, I would recommend! 4⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️stars from me.
How to Find Love in a Bookshop by Veronica Henry

This was a cute book which was very easy to read.

However, there seemed to be too many mini story lines within it that weren’t able to have enough time for themselves. In my opinion this left it feeling a little too cluttered and busy. It also made it a little more difficult to attach yourself to characters.

I read this book as part of a buddy read.

The beginning was very cluttered and it felt like it was ‘needed’ to get to the point of starting the real story. Once we had moved past that bit though I really started to enjoy it.

There were lots of different elements, difficult family decision, hidden mysteries, mental health struggles.

Important choices had to be made my multiple characters and I felt a real attachment to a fair few of them by the end. A lot of the characters also went on substantial journeys- which I enjoyed developing.

I did enjoy the ending but I felt it could have been tied up a little better rather than inferred.

Overall though, I enjoyed the book and would recommend.

This book; the second in the series, wasn’t as initially gripping for me as the first. It took me a little longer to get into the story and it felt slightly more disjointed.

However at around a third of the way through it really started to pick up and I got hooked! Lots of juicy developments making it an absolute page turner.

It had another excellent twist in it that I didn’t see coming. Helen is a superb character!

I also really enjoyed learning more about all the characters and their lives. I now feel a real attachment to everyone and can’t want to read the third book to find out more.

I finished this books in 2 sittings, I absolutely loved it! Reading about Foxglove Farm and the family inside it.

The book touched on some deep themes which I think were dealt with very appropriately.

There was lots of action too and I was gripped in knowing about their relationship and resolving their problems from the very beginning! Lots of developments and not a single cold chapter.

The book was a very easy read and I’m glad I’ve now found Christine Barlow as I’m going to go and read all her others books too!

I would highly recommend this book!

The first chapter of this book had me thinking this would be a good one for me.

Unfortunately I couldn’t have been more wrong. I still, even after just finishing it, have no idea what-so-ever what the plot is!

At first I thought the book might have been a slow starter and the confusion would ease the further I got in. Wrong again.

The book is made up entirely of different flash backs from both of the twins without any introduction or discernible pattern. I spent most of my time confused as to who I was listening to and what age they were, where they were etc. By the time I’d figured it out we were onto another flash back or POV.

Not for me, sorry.

Another outstanding book by Sophie Kinsella. Read in a single day!

Written smoothly and hilariously from the very first paragraph. I loved every single page, following Samatha on her adventure.

The ending was sublime and I wouldn’t haven’t expected anything less from Sophie.

If this genre is your bag, I would recommend 1000 times over!
