This book; the second in the series, wasn’t as initially gripping for me as the first. It took me a little longer to get into the story and it felt slightly more disjointed.

However at around a third of the way through it really started to pick up and I got hooked! Lots of juicy developments making it an absolute page turner.

It had another excellent twist in it that I didn’t see coming. Helen is a superb character!

I also really enjoyed learning more about all the characters and their lives. I now feel a real attachment to everyone and can’t want to read the third book to find out more.
