Amy & Roger's Epic Detour by Morgan Matson

Amy and Roger's Epic Detour was a beautiful journey for both the characters and the readers. Despite the cheesy seeming title and cover, this book is very heartfelt and down-to-earth as it delves into the mind a of daughter grieving the death of her father. This book is not about a physical journey, but instead about the journey Amy and Roger together embark on in order to help Amy heal.
Definitely one of my favorite contemporaries I have ever read.

Amazing premise, great execution.
The initial concept convinced me to buy this (as well as many recommendations from friends) and I'm so glad I listened. Sera is an intriguing character with an intriguing life. At first, her romance with the "boy next door" Noah seemed a little forced, but as the book progressed, and into the sequel as well, it was much more believable and, of course, heart-wrenchingly adorable.
Great duology, I highly recommend it.

This series is so amazing. Thats all I can say about that. The cover and the summary does not do it justice.

Lux: Beginnings is such a great start to a series that now is one of my absolute favorites. As an avid reader and blogger, I easily related to Katy on a deep level. Her love of books and fandoms and the world that is only online is something I share with her. I also love her witty banter with Daemon, and her desire to be considered an equal. I love that she calls Daemon out on all his bullshit and rude behavior, and how he is there to give her a reality check every once in a while. The other characters were just as interesting. Dee's bright and bubbly personality was always welcoming, as well as her compassion and friendliness. Lesa and Carissa were a perfect way to show the human life Katy could have, while Dee was the door to the unknown.

Jennifer L. Armentrout outdid herself with this hysterical, thrilling, romantic book.
You could almost say it was had "heart-stopping action, and swoon worthy romance... [Lux] is a forget-your-homework, don't-feed-your-kids, and quit-your-job one-sit read." Although it may be a little long for one sitting- it sure was nearly impossible to put down for even a second!

Off the Page was a great novel, best read after reading Between the Lines by Jodi Picoult and Samantha Van Leer.

Off the Page doubles the cuteness granted to us in Between the Lines and also manages to break your heart and stitch it back up again. I absolutely loved this novel. It was cute, funny, silly, sad, and truly magical. The world(s) built in Between the Lines are explored even further. I loved that Edgar's POV was included, although I admit I prefer Oliver and Delilah's perspectives (but thats mostly because I just love them so much). I also loved the development of Seraphina and Frump, especially how Seraphina grew to be more tolerable character than the spoiled princess we met in Between the Lines. My absolute favorite part of this book, though, is not any of those aspects, but instead it is both the romance between Oliver and Delilah, and Oliver's reactions and interactions with people in the modern world. It was hilarious.

This book is not as light a read as Between the Lines, but because of that I actually thought it was better.
This book gets a 4.5/5 for me. I really loved it.

Ohmygod. So freaking good. Really. Amazing.

Can I marry Daemon? Please?

These two books are probably my favorite in the entire series. The characters are the at their peaks, the action is exhilarating, the plot moves at the perfect pace, the mysteries that are solved and those that begin are wonderful and intriguing. And of course- Daemon and Katy are extremely adorable yet realistic in their relationship. The world only becomes more mysterious and detailed and wonderful.

Can I give it 10/5 stars? Because it deserves it. It truly does.

A wonderful debut novel that I can already tell will be a great series.
The plot was fast paced and made the book nearly impossible to put down. I was reading it while also running the lights for a play because I couldn't make myself stop.
This book did have it's draw backs. It was slightly predictable at some points and I found myself often annoyed with certain character, but the pros definitely outweigh the cons.

A beautiful blend of Russian Folklore and one of my absolute favorite tales, Beauty and the Beast.
I was so blessed to have gotten an ARC of this, because this is just what I needed right now.
Hunted is an amazing tale following Yeva, a protagonist who is intelligent, independent, and desires so much more than the life laid out for her. She is a hunter at heart, like her father, but the Beast may be the one creature she cannot kill, no matter how desperately she wants to.
This story is beautifully written, similar to Beauty and the Beast but puts its own original spin on it. I always found myself fascinated with the Beast's point of view, and Yeva is a protagonist that is imperfect yet very likable and relatable.
This novel is great for anyone who enjoys the original Beauty and the Beast tale, as well as fans of Russian folklore or fantasy books. Hunted will pull you in and never let you go.
