This was an absolutely amazing read. It was a creative twist on a highly polarizing (lol) trope. It was very well written and fast paced. I ran through an entire spectrum of emotions. If Mrs. Clarke doesn’t do anything else she is going to write a character I want to put hands and feet on! 😤😠 Anyways this was a great read she’s a one-click - auto buy author for me and if the other books in this collection are half as good I can’t wait to read them all!
There were things I loved and things I sort of didn’t. Like Tryp and Kass I don’t feel like they added anything to the story in terms of their dynamic with Seven. I think the friendship, the conversation, and the support could have been done without adding them to the dynamic smexually. Because most of the time it fell a little flat for me and they got very little development on page with her and since she’s the FMC that was a little distracting. But they were still good supporting characters and helped advance the story at times. But BAYBEE Seven, Gael, and Kenji I loved absolutely every moment of that. It was reminiscent of Bear, Kimber, and Ren which I loved! Bash does such a good job with the personalities of her characters and how they compliment their partner or partners. And the way Gael and Kenji held each other accountable for how they moved with Seven and how they allowed her to express and explore different sides of her was so enjoyable. I would have liked to see a little more on page development in Kenji and how he moved to a place of understanding that Gael was his equal but at least it was there. The dirty talk and spice were exceptional and the scene with Seven and Gael and the “hot pocket” 😮💨😮💨 As usual Bash owes me nothing and I’m looking forward to all the wonderful stories she will contribute to this sub genre.
This was one hell of a ride. Like I don’t even know what to say except that this is what I think of when I originally hard of dark romance. It’s love and romance in a way that isn’t conventional between unconventional people. Not shock value brutality. It’s the hopeless romantic believe that love can conquer, can change, and cure. This was beautiful written and well paced, Rodriguez has you riding the razor edge of anxiety until you almost can’t stand it anymore before she offers you sweet HEA relief. At times I felt Abel’s frustration so acutely I wanted to shake Rose! But his love and obsession forced you to see and sympathize with her even when you might not have wanted to. The twist at the end was perfect. I am so excited to dive into more of her work.
This was an interesting tale that really took its time to build. But the moment where the rivals become lovers was extraordinary sweet. The single pov about drove me nuts and the plot was way to slow developing for my personal tastes. However, the world building was different and new and enjoyable. Outside of the pacing I enjoyed Upton’s narrative voice. While I loath single pov the majority of the time Meline was a reliable and effective narrator which made the read enjoyable enough. I’m definitely looking forward to Book 2 since it will be dual pov. This story ends on a to be continued and while I understand Meline’s point I’m only siding with her out of sisterhood solidarity!
Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated

This started off really well. I was intrigued and by the world building and the magic. The relationship development between the characters was sweet and solid with both on page accounts and an obvious bond. But somewhere around the time, they figure out what Candy is from her family, this feels like it because another book entirely. I think what this needed was another read through, a round of edits and different formatting. Things get very confusing on what is real and what is dreams, page breaks where definitely need to denote shifts in scenes, and it felt like the plot moved in a circle which slowed the pacing. But the time we made it to the events in Heaven I was skimming and ready for it to be over. This is still full of good humor, good spice, and fun lovable characters but the execution wasn’t as clean as Daze’s other works.
This was all the feel good fall vibes of hallmark but with the tougher emotions of a tv drama. This was the kind of instalove that romance is made of. Like who hasn’t day dreamed about mutual attraction between strangers but a connection that felt like they were meant for you? June has a description but not overly wordy writing style, the spice convey the passion but fit the coziness of the story. She actually has me tearing up a little and that’s not ease. She’s a new to me author and I’m excited to read more, especially if she makes you work for the HEA. I kinda like my romance to hurt a little.
This was a perfect cozy fall PNR. It’s erotica with a sprinkle of plot. I’m always going to be here for plus size girlies in every trope. Domme witch and good boy demon wasn’t a thing I even knew I needed until B.P. gave it to me. My fall vibes is off to a good start
