Just wasn’t that good. Not interesting and felt very disconnected from the plot blurb. Definitely didn’t like the main character. Not worth the read !

I’m not really sure what to say about this book. First off, it starts with Tyler finding and rescuing an abducted girl who has been held captive and abused for 10 years. So she’s obviously underdeveloped mentally and physically.
Not only was she extremely abused, but psychologically her brain is stuck in the spot when she was taken which I believe was at 8 years old. So when this guy saves her, she’s thinking he’s her prince and keeps that logic and repeats it over and over whenever she had ptsd.
Tyler apparently doesn’t speak except he still speaks, just not to everyone. Selective mutism. My biggest issue with this book was that it approached extremely heavy topics but I felt like there was no justice or healing. It was the saving, and her getting out but not really having the space to be happy and most importantly free.
I dnf’d it half-way through because it was physically paining me how repetitive it was and the plot went nowhere. Lots to work with but no writing determination. Characters were very one-dimensional. 1/5 stars

Most of All You by Mia Sheridan

Aww. It was good. Definitely not as good as Archers Voice in my opinion, but I could see the writing similarities. Once again, Mia Sheridan does traumatic pasts and healing futures.
If you’re looking for heavy, heartfelt romance… her books are the ones for you. Usually the love interest is always extremely sweet and caring and adds a great storytelling element.
Dual-pov. Solid 3/5 stars

From Lukov with Love by Mariana Zapata

This book did not deliver. sadly I fell into a Mariana Zapata hole after Winnipeg and it was a solid three stars but this book was a whole new level of slow burn.
Almost 500 pages of inner monologue by Jasmine and embarrassingly childish flirting.
And the worst part is I thought I would love it! Bc who wouldn’t want to read a love story about two people skating together!! Nope.
The beginning dragged so much I put it down for days and picked it up a week later. It was not fast paced and sadly had no characters I rooted for.
If your not a fan of the protagonist and the love interest insulting each other and play fighting like kids then don’t read this book. Seriously.
I was mad because I wanted to enjoy it, really. But it just didn’t even spark interest enough to get past mid-way.

King of Battle and Blood by Scarlett St. Clair

Really good ! I was actually surprised by how much I enjoyed this. It took me a few chapters to get into the plot but after that I read it super quick.
The vampire aspect tied nicely with the fantasy aspect and I really liked the main characters.
Some parts were rushed like the end when they finally revealed they loved each other basically came out of nowhere even though it was a slow burn?
It was close to being perfect but I would have written it longer with more interaction scenes not just between main protagonist and love interest.
