To Hate Adam Connor by Ella Maise

Super cute but I also have some issues with plot. In the beginning, Lucy spying on Adam and his son without his knowledge was just not okay. And then she got mad when he found her basically breaking and entering on his property.

Lucy was actually not likeable for me. Sadly, she was so stubborn it bordered on being extremely rude and basically just refused help from everyone in the story.

Don’t get me wrong I loved Adam and his scenes with Lucy but the plot twist and the stuff with his ex-wife was just too cheesy. It lost me in the last third of book. Love Ella Maise though and would still read anything she came out with.

Listen, this book definitely tried to be one of those dark contemporary romances that makes you weak in the knees but this did not live up to those expectations.

In the beginning all the flirting was fun to follow but as the plot thickened I felt like it got worse. I didn’t like the Peter Pan retelling at all and tried to discard all the names.

This book was pretty disappointing. I don’t know what I was expecting but it felt like a badly written wattpad story.

The good girl bad boy trope didn’t even fit in this situation bc she grew up around the mob and her dad was a world-famous gambler?? Like made no sense at all.

This book also had insta love and the smut was zero to none. No tension and a lot of annoying jealousy. The girl literally was dating this other guy while Travis, the main love interest was confessing his love to her and they WERE LIVING TOGETHER!!

Oh and she’s nineteen and they got married in Vegas and got their names tattooed on each other! After less than a year of being together.

And he called her Pigeon for no fucking reason.

Holy shit this book was so much to take in. It took a little time to get really intrigued bc I thought Leon was an asshole at first but I ended up liking it enough to finish.

If you’re into paranormal, witchy, dark romances then you would love this one. I wasn’t obsessed with the plot but I also didn’t skip over it so that’s why it deserves three stars.

I most likely won’t be reading the rest of the series. I really enjoyed the main character Rae though !

I adore every inch of this book. Literally from the first chapter to the epilogue I was so in love with the story and the characters and the way the writing made me feel.

Personally this is going down in history as my favorite Mariana Zapata book. I genuinely don’t think she could ever top this.

RURON FOREVER. Sorry Ruby and Aaron literally stole my heart. I have no words left. I loved that they interacted through every bit of the story. Only having Ruby’s perspective as well makes the slow burn even more intense. If I knew the guy fell first every time it would be too repetitive.

Gosh I just loved it. Aaron is in the army going through his last few months and he gets paired with Ruby, who writes and emails him at least once a week. They develop a friendship and let me tell you when they finally met, my knees were weak.

I will think about this book forever. That’s all. <3

Surprisingly enjoyable. It took some convincing to pick this up but it was worth it. I’m usually not a fan of workplace romances, especially if the guy is her boss.

This was a classic case of hot guy older boss and younger female assistant. In some ways in defied those expectations but that was still the core of the book.

I did like the relationship between the main character and the love interest but a lot of this felt a little too optimistic.

Not my favorite!

Not what I expected. Loved plus size main character <3. “Clan mother”.

All I really have to say is it was sub-par. It didn’t give me sparks and I didn’t like how young they were? Knight and Luna kinda just didn’t have the right timing and the reasons they were mad at each other could have been talked about.

It felt like it was supposed to be heavier but also not at the same time. I had to force myself to finish this one. Not recommend.

There were so many characters in this story that had things going on and I honestly was confused most of the time. None of it really fit together and it didn’t even feel like a romance story.

Wholesome. Very enjoyable. Single parent moves from big city New York to a small town in Montana working as a maid at a hotel. Falls in love with chef who is also her landlord, big grump with a nice beard who’s not actually a grump.

Just so so good. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series!
