“They would bleed themselves dry to keep others alive, but they didn’t care about how they mangled the spirit. As long as a heart kept beating, who cared how broken it was?”

I loved the build-up; it was so good. It was a really good enemy to lovers with so much baggage in their relationship. I felt like some parts really dragged on a little too long, but it still was a really good book. The plot kept me interested in what would happen next with political intrigue and tension. The characters were written in the way I like, where their internal dialogue was a push and pull between what they wanted and what is expected of them.  4 out of 5 stars.

After the adventure and peril when the characters try to get to the military sanctuary in book 1, they are on the run again for another sanctuary that they can finally settle in without danger. In an apocalyptic world where it is hard to trust people it’s hard for them to find a place that is truly a safe place, constantly on edge and still trying to further the relationship between all the characters is hard for them.

I really liked this book. I liked book 1 just a little bit better because I love the buildup of relationships and all the tension that goes along with that and that happened in book 1. In this book their relationship has already been established so I missed that tension, but the tension of the plot was more of the focus in this book. I still really liked it and will definitely be reading the third book when it’s released. I really love the characters, and I want to know what will happen to all of them at the end of the series. I loved the dystopian/ Apocalyptic plot and atmosphere to the book mixed in with reverse harem plot is the perfect tropes for me. 4 out of 5 stars, can’t wait for the third book.

“Time did heal, there was no doubt about that. But time also stole. A few memories here and there. A wisp of the pain. It slowly tugged more and more away until you woke up one day and realized you could breathe without your chest cracking, think of that person without breaking down in sobs.”

This book blew me away so hard. I can’t even describe the wonderful ending and now I have to wait for book two!!!!!! Ugh. I absolutely loved every single thing about this book.

After the death of the man she loved, she finds out she is royalty and now has to marry a Fae king to create peace. On a ship to get married to the Fae king she cannot deny her attraction to the king’s bodyguard.  Once she meets her new husband, she also cannot deny her attraction to him as well. The love triangle that was going on in the book was absolutely everything. The tension was so good, perfectly written in a way that I didn’t know what I wanted to happen at the end because I loved both of them.

The mystery was also so freaking good. The mystery with the people’s memories and history of the Fae was so interesting and kept me so involved in the story. I could not get enough of the plot. The characters and the plot were so full that it was the perfect balance between both, which I feel can be so rare in the books I read.

On another note, the Nyxin I wasn’t sure how they were supposed to look like cause all I could picture was a regular puppy, lol. He was so cute, what a wonderful little sidekick.

5 out of 5 stars, I wouldn’t change anything, and I cannot wait to read book 2. I also ended up going on an hour-long rant with my husband telling him every single thing about this book that he won’t read because I was so blown away.

Thank you so much for the ARC, Booksprout.

I loved book 1 of the Twisted Crown Trilogy so I decided to read this one. I definitely liked book 1 better because this book has so much courting and was more focused on building that romantic plot than the first one was. The ending section of the book had more action and peril, but I wished more of the book was like that. I am excited to read book 3 because hopefully a lot of the romance would have been built so that there would more plot. 3 out of 5 stars.

I was excited to read a darker spin on snow white retelling. It was a good book but not really what I was expecting nor my vibe with pacing. I found chunks of the book on the boring side and had a bigger build up till most of the plot stuff that I really wanted. I wish the characters were as dynamic in the first part as they were at the end of the book. All in all, I would give it 3 stars out of 5.
