One of my favorite Dark Hunters of all times and Amanda the one woman you would never imagine to get stuck in the paranormal. Waking up handcuffed to Amanda was the last thing Kyrian would have ever wanted and it was the best thing that could have happened to him. Amanda isn't oblivious to the crazy world but she doesn't know that her husband is in the same league as her crazy sister. I love the story of Amanda and Kyrian.

Night Pleasures is the first book in the Dark-Hunter series written by Sherrilyn Kenyon.
*Vampires
*Greek Gods
*Daimons
This might have been better if I hadn’t chosen the audio version of the book, but I did not enjoy the narrator at all. Her voice was so whiny it took everything I could to not DNF this book.
Format: Libby audiobook
Genre: Fantasy romance
Overall score:⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice level:🌶️🌶️
Characters: Amanda (FMC) & Kyrian (MMC)

Physical/audiobook (Hoopla) - great start to the daimon dark hunter series. The historical overview isn’t harsh or shoved down the readers throat in a history lesson. We learn as the mfc learns their history. Amanda has untapped psychic abilities including dream walking and precognition. Having an insane attraction to Kyrian leads her down a dark path ultimately ending with a hea ending between this couple with a minor note towards a hunter who may not be accepted into the Louisiana dark hunters. (Valerius the one who tortured Kyrian and killed Jillian’s family).

This was a really interesting read, it really expanded the universe and there are so many elements of the world that have opened up in terms of the Night Hunters including who they are and what they do. Plus, I really enjoyed the romance in this one, both characters were really interesting and I thought they had great chemistry. Looking forward to seeing where things go.
Buddy reading with Anita Read & it's been so much fun to read together!

This had more than it's fair share of cheesy, eye roll inducing moments but it was a fun, fast read for what it was worth. Mind you, I got this for free so...
My one big criticism of it was that it was unclear at the beginning whether or not her family's eccentricities and their supposed mysticism were real or whether they were just crackpots. As you read along, it turns out that they were supposed to be real, so considering that, I think the initial set-up for the storyline should have been a bit more extensive. Eventually I just gave up on trying to make sense of everything and just went with it which was for the best. I think that's easier to do though when you haven't made any investment :p
