This is a long short story, or a novella, not a full novel. It is part of the Sourdough world, essentially. I enjoyed Robin's other books, and I enjoyed this too. It's a quick read. But, people who haven't read Robin Sloan before should start with Mr. Penumbra's 24-hour Bookstore.

Didn’t love it. I might have appreciated it more had I read it closer to when I read Sourdough.

A cute little story about sourdough and theft. Well, mostly about theft.

A continuation of the magic of “Sourdough,” this mini novel is a wine lover’s dream of a mysterious adventure story. Must read everything by Robin Sloan.

I was left wanting more but in a way where I just wish there was more explanation and clarity. But I guess part of the beauty of a novella is sometimes that things aren’t always completely fleshed out or explored.

*the edition I read was included in the paperback of Sourdough*

I love Robin Sloan’s earlier works, and I thought that this was such a fun read! Unique story line and kept on theme with his splash of magical realism story lines
