So this was a bloody fantastic read and most definitely worth the wait let me tell you.
This author crosses genres with ease and can write anything be it Mafia, biker, vampires or sci-fi whatever she writes she totally smashes it.
I read this in one complete sitting so engrossed was I, I only meant to read a couple of chapters before sleep but ended up reading through the night, that speaks for itself really.
So a heads up this can definitely be read as a stand-alone but do yourself a big favour and grab book one in this series first it's equally as fantastic and will enhance your whole experience for sure.
So book two in the series features Tanya and Zane and the adorable Ollie.
Zane lost his wife and young daughter to the plague four years previous and all he has left is his son Ollie.
Ready for a whole new chapter they both fall for the charms of Tanya one of the mail-order brides sent from earth and she is equally enamoured with them both.
So Zane and Tanya's dynamic was so different from the first couple Daxx and Jetta.
Tanya is a shy introverted librarian she has such a gentle sweet and loving nature exactly what Zane and Ollie need to complete there family.
Not to say shes a doormat she can certainly kick butt when needed it's just her inner goals and aspirations revolve more around belonging and being part of something bigger than herself.
Something she feels has been lacking in her past and she very much wants in her future with Zane and Ollie.
Zane is adorable he's protective, super hot and a great daddy what's not to love.
I also adored how his son was his number one priority above all else as a parent that's such a sexy quality in a man.
I could also understand with his past just why he was wary and wanted to be sure.
This was quite slow burn but still contained all the sensual heat and build up and the tension was expertly ramped up notch by delicious notch.
When things finally erupted wow it went super-nova.
There's also drama angst and plenty of heat to keep you occupied this also isn't just some sci-fluff, though there's still plenty of lighthearted fun this also goes so much deeper with fabulous multi-faceted individuals.
I really was impressed with the depth of the narrative here if you like this genre this one is definitely the head of its game.
This is one book I highly recommend I was glued from start to finish a massive thumbs up from my camp.

Zane and Tanya’s story was truly epic and beautiful. Reading their journey was balm to my heart. I can’t wait for Joran and Lacey’s story.

I enjoyed book 1 and after reading to I was eager for more.
It was okay.
For some reason I couldn't get into it.
I feel really bad saying that, maybe it's me.
For me there was a lot of inner monologue, a pet hate of mine.

It was interesting to have a different perspective of the women coming to the planet project as the Hero works on certain aspects of it so he is privy to insider details.

To be honest I found it a bit boring and a bit repetitive.
Lots of detail to deco, which I wasn't bothered about.

The heroine is a shy type and of course a virgin, sigh.
The Hero's wife and daughter have died in the planets plague but he still has a son.

There are no intimate scenes other than the Hero and heroine.
There is an attempted rape.

We have the evil bitchy woman but it seems to me a bit OTT.

HEA.

Breadcrumbs dropped for possible future books in series.

This is the second book in this series and I loved it just as much as I loved the first one. We were introduced to these characters in the first book, but get their story here and now. After reading these two books I wonder what I can do get catch a ride to Phallyx and catch an alien husband or two for myself...…..
If you are in need of a good slow burn book then look no further. Zane and Tanya's story is full of action and drama. You will find yourself so engrossed in the story that you will not want to put it down. Let's not forget about the sweet and spicy action between Zane and Tanya. Zane is a very intense and passionate man who has experienced a huge loss. He has not let them make him bitter or spiteful. Tanya is a sweet woman who also is dealing with a huge change. The two of them together are everything!!!
I don't know what else to say except you just have to experience this planet for yourself. The author is amazing at describing in great detail just what the planet looks like.
