So this was a bloody fantastic read and most definitely worth the wait let me tell you.
This author crosses genres with ease and can write anything be it Mafia, biker, vampires or sci-fi whatever she writes she totally smashes it.
I read this in one complete sitting so engrossed was I, I only meant to read a couple of chapters before sleep but ended up reading through the night, that speaks for itself really.
So a heads up this can definitely be read as a stand-alone but do yourself a big favour and grab book one in this series first it's equally as fantastic and will enhance your whole experience for sure.
So book two in the series features Tanya and Zane and the adorable Ollie.
Zane lost his wife and young daughter to the plague four years previous and all he has left is his son Ollie.
Ready for a whole new chapter they both fall for the charms of Tanya one of the mail-order brides sent from earth and she is equally enamoured with them both.
So Zane and Tanya's dynamic was so different from the first couple Daxx and Jetta.
Tanya is a shy introverted librarian she has such a gentle sweet and loving nature exactly what Zane and Ollie need to complete there family.
Not to say shes a doormat she can certainly kick butt when needed it's just her inner goals and aspirations revolve more around belonging and being part of something bigger than herself.
Something she feels has been lacking in her past and she very much wants in her future with Zane and Ollie.
Zane is adorable he's protective, super hot and a great daddy what's not to love.
I also adored how his son was his number one priority above all else as a parent that's such a sexy quality in a man.
I could also understand with his past just why he was wary and wanted to be sure.
This was quite slow burn but still contained all the sensual heat and build up and the tension was expertly ramped up notch by delicious notch.
When things finally erupted wow it went super-nova.
There's also drama angst and plenty of heat to keep you occupied this also isn't just some sci-fluff, though there's still plenty of lighthearted fun this also goes so much deeper with fabulous multi-faceted individuals.
I really was impressed with the depth of the narrative here if you like this genre this one is definitely the head of its game.
This is one book I highly recommend I was glued from start to finish a massive thumbs up from my camp.
