Whenever I want to read something dark, messed up, and addictive, I know K.A. Merikan's got me. I binge read this book until 5am and woke up thinking about the characters, then spent all day at work just waiting until I got home to find out what would happen next. Angsty, filthy, wildly entertaining, with just the right amount of sweetness.

Haven’t read anything from this author before and as the book came in a book box subscription I had no idea what I would find between the pages.
What I did find was a brilliantly written, thrilling and hot story that drew me in and refused to let me go.
I adore Clover, he’s seriously likeable even if sometimes I did want to slap him for being so silly.
Then there’s Tank, Drake, Boar and Pyro… holy hotness these four are delicious! The way they all treat Clover in their own special ways had my heart pumping seriously fast.
I believe there are more books in this series and I will be running to get my hands on them asap because this one was seriously good!

I really enjoyed this book, the alternating povs from each of the guys is wonderful and I loved the relationship dynamics built throughout. They fit together in the best of ways, Boar was definitely my favourite he was just very much the romantic of the bunch and his just so sweet with the touch of rough.

Clover has a lot of trust issues and his own mischief, kind of loved that he didn't get swept up in the feelings to start. He took it as fun and a way to save himself, his developing relationship with each of the guys is interesting to see explored.

There are scenes with all of them, but also separate to which highlighted how the relationship worked for everyone and gave some tender soft moments as learn more about them.

Tank is stunning and can't help being charmed by him, right along with Clover with all the hurt/comfort feels. Drake takes a while to warm up too and I was worried about how he would fit for a while, but once learn more of his story his easy to adore with all his rough edges. Pyro is interesting and had his dark moments, but just because he cares a lot and him & Boars relationship is wonderful.

While there's a large amount of spicy scenes throughout this read, however it's action packed in other ways too with the ongoing danger and journey. It was interesting to see the details unravel throughout and events come to light. Also Clover training and wanting to be able to look after himself, his got damsel in distress moments but he is heavy on that self-preservation.

Anyway it was an entertaining read, with an incredible cast and a happy ending for them all together in the end

Been really struggling to read mm romance right now, so I am putting this on the back burner. I'm at about 40% into this one and find it written a bit...unevenly in how the characters talk and act.

I know we have to suspend some belief to get into this premise - all gay mercenary group who are all on board to form a sexual harem with the albino man they rescue - but I wish we could know a bit more about the guys, and not just Clover?

So… this sent me into a bit of, not a hangover but a slump? I felt so weird after this but it confirms I can only read dark romance after buffered with fluff and low stakes romance. This is MMMMM, dark, and steamy. The center of this polyamory is Clover, and it’s unsurprising my favorite character is Drake.

Even while I think I enjoyed this book, there’s a lot that was not dealt with… properly? I guess? In my head and I don’t know if it was just a ‘this is dark romance so it won’t be’ thing but it left me feeling not great. Clover is 19 and they’re all older than him, but I think it’s only specified that one is 25. I don’t remember them all being named. Clover is an orphan and doesn’t trust anyone. So it makes sense that after ten days if someone says they are crushing on him and want something more he would react in a harsh way. I get this was charged with BDSM (and not exactly all sane/safe), so the rule being ‘no disrespect’ is, fine, but the way they all turned against him during the outburst was awful. That, on top of the basically punishment-rape that Pyro never apologized for, and no one took even an ounce of pity/concern for Clover over it? That was my least favorite part. I get that they are all loyal to each other over Clover, but god. Hateful.
