Really captivating read, although I did guess the twist (if you can call it that)

Looks like I am decidedly with the minority on this one.
As it happens, I did stick it out until the end, wanting to see how it all unraveled.
This struck me as an obvious set up for a Lifetime movie. Damsels in distress. Stupid damsels in distress to boot. And so irksome that the protagonists were unable to figure things out for themselves.
Agency-less damsel in distress, not my favorite trope.

This was a good, fast read. I figured out some, but missed a bit too. Not going to change the world, but a suspenseful book that was hard to put down

I like a good dual POV story line, but these women were annoying. Livvy put up with more than normal women would. Anna was infuriating, I would’ve been demanding my family immediately instead of going home with someone who was a stranger to me. But then I figured it all out. Not a gripping psychological thriller, but somewhat decent. I feel like I’ve read something similar but can’t put my finger on it. Book #60 in 2023

Anna wakes up in a London hospital with no recollection of who she is or anything from her life. When her husband Stephen comes to visit she does not recognise him at all. Anna was involved in a serious car crash and is suffering amnesia, it's terrifying for her.
Livvy lives in Bristol with her husband Dominic and baby son Leo. After six months maternity leave she is arranging childcare with the view of returning to work. Out of the blue Dominic's mother Imogen turns up, making Livvy feel unnerved, she appears to be stalking her.
Anna and Livvy's lives are about to collide in a way neither of them could possibly imagine.
I really enjoyed The Forgetting, it was an easy, fast paced read and cleverly written. I raced through, there were lots of twists and turns and a very satisfying ending. Highly recommended.

I could not put this book down. The uneasy feeling builds as the story unfolds and the shocking twist is everything.

3.5. Even though I spotted the 'twist' right away, this was still well written enough to keep me hooked, wanting to see how it would all play out. It did feel very similar to some other memory loss plots, but still well done enough that it was fun to read.
