This was pretty good. Not mind blowing and I'm soooooooooo done with Zod stories for the next decade, but this was strong. The 3D section hurt my eyes, but the rest of the art is good.

Bastante interesante como acercamiento a Superman.
El guión no es nada del otro mundo pero está bien. El dibujo y el color a veces son muy interesantes y otras totalmente deformes pero aceptable también.

This book reminds me alot of the most recent Superman movie, lots of buildings being destroyed and Zod being banished back to his prisoned dimension. There are alot of cameos from other heroes and villains In this too, everyone (even lex luthor) seems to agree that Zod and his followers are no good for earth.
The more important character in this book though is the "Last son" , but I won't go into that so I don't spoil the story for anyone.
Overall, I thought this was a great story that kept me captivated all the way through and I would recommend this to any Superman fan.

I have to say that upon reading this, I saw many....MANY....parallels to "Man of Steel". I'm not going to say what they were, but it felt a little screenplay-ish for a lot of the first story. Superman believed he was the last Kryptonian...then came Supergirl and at some point Superdog. To his shock, a little boy literally falls out of the sky (encapsulated in something of course) and is Kryptonian. As if that wasn't enough, he was a match for Superman, so he and Lois ended up adopting him. After that, the story goes haywire. We find out that the boy isn't who he believes he is nor is he who we believe he is. It was a good read and I wanted it to continue.
Then we get to the second story, which I should call, "Juggs, Brainiac and Supergirl". Again-deja vu with this. I kinda skimmed it because as I read it, I recall seeing all this somewhere before. Maybe a DC movie, maybe on Justice League, but it was all familiar. Supergirl is living in fear of Braniac because of the bad things he did to her planet and family. Superman has never met Braniac, only his representatives. Blah blah blah later, Superman and Braniac are fighting 10 pages and the inevitable happens.
I'm not going to give anything away, but it was really good. Although I did prefer the first story and am looking forward to a sequel.

I really like this story. I didn't realize it was the basis for one of the animated movies I've already watched, but I still really liked reading it. I like Supes stories that have a nice balance between heroics and family stuff, and this does that well. Plus we get Supergirl! (Honestly, this made me wonder if Supergirl the show couldn't have Brainiac as a Big Bad one day.)

It's okay. I liked Kubert's art a lot, and there are some nice scenes between Chris and Clark, or between Chris and Lois. Mon-El's appearance in the Phantom Zone worked well.
Other parts, eh. The big fight at the end seemed half-ass, like they thought it would be badass to release all these Kryptonian criminals, but then for the convenience of the story, they all had to basically become completely inept and impotent when confronted by Parasite and Metallo (although they clearly defeated Supergirl, Wonder Woman, etc.). Zod didn't really thrill me too much either; he's little more than your basic would-be despot with a side of abusive parent. It's all right, but not as top-to-bottom engaging as other Superman runs.

This was interesting enough but lost me at the end.
It was a cool plot with Superman finding out that there were more Kryptonians in the universe (aside from Kara). It was interesting seeing Lois reluctant to be a mother considering what comes later in Rebirth. This is the introduction of Christopher Kent, a character that left some people rather bitter over the existence of Jon because it seems DC largely forgot to mention Chris again, it seems.
I liked seeing Clark adjust to being a parent. I liked seeing Lois come into her own as Chris’ mother. (Although it was a real dick move for Clark to just decide he was going to raise this kid without consulting Lois).
The prisoners from the phantom zone weren’t as interesting here as they were in the films, for me.
The ending is rather sad but fitting. This is kind of a recommend from me.

Even if Superman is not my favorite superhero, this story is pretty good. I have to admit that I prefer Lex Luthor to the Justice League, except for Batman, Batman is the best of them all.
Anche se Superman non é il mio supereroe preferito, questa é una bella storia. Devo comunque ammettere che preferisco Lex Luthor alla Justice League, escludendo Batman, perché Batman é il più figo di tutti.
