I struggled with the insta-love of this book. I think that in addition to Henna's age created a very immature and unrealistic component to their relationship.

I really struggled with Henna and her personality. She definitely had moments of immaturity that left me rolling my eyes. However, I do think her carefree and (for lack of a better phrase) "I don't give a sh*t" personalty is exactly what Bodhi needed.

I struggled with Bodhi also, although not as much as Henna. The degree to which he punished himself and deprived himself in his life was a bit overdone. Especially in regards to the "limitations" it gave him in his relationship with Henna.

That ending......how is it that HENNA is the one that's working through emotions and the one at the forefront is anger?!! Shouldn't that have been Bodhi?! There's no way a few months of traveling allowed him to process ALL of his emotions and return to her like she didn't do what she did.

I did enjoy elements of this story. I really loved Barrett

This book will captivate you. One of the angstiest books I’ve read this year. The forbidden love trope has captivated me and I want to read all the books in this category!

“I want him to want me. Like the epic kind of love where he comes for me. The kind where he doesn’t take no for an answer. The kind that involves begging and groveling. I want him to chase me. Need me. I want him to hold me in his arms the way I’ve held him in my heart.”

Bodhi and Henna have such instant chemistry- first love type of whirlwind romance. The love and longing for each other was so real. I really just got so captivated into this pull these two had to one another.

"No matter where I am on this earth, I'm loving you... forever."

"Loving you is the right thing to do. It's the only thing to do."

Such a Beautiful love story that I’ll be thinking about for a while!

I have been a huge Jewel E Ann fan for years. She always brings out something unique in every story that she gives us. A Place Without you does just that. Takes you on a roller coaster ride of emotions that are raw and will break you. But it is oh so beautiful! The one thing I really enjoyed was Henna. She was a raw and passionate girl that followers her heart regardless of the consequences. She is sassy but also broken in a little way. I have to say my jaw dropped with Bodhi being who was in the long run in her life! There were some insane passionate moments but some very raw ones that will crack your heart.
Overall, this was an amazing story. This one did not kill me as much as the Transcend duet, however, it hits all the points that you need in a story. She knows how to wrap you up into the worlds she creates and leaves you begging for more. Your heart gets twisted into all the things that happen between these two. The best part was how much Henna is an empowering young woman who follows her heart. Snag it up. Trust me.

Five stars! Loved, loved, LOVED this book! Jewel E. Ann knows how to write an incredible romance and pull at your heart strings. I teared up a couple times towards the end of this one. I will be recommending this to everyone! I’m mad at myself for waiting so long to read it.

Unexpectedly amazing, I’ll be stuck with these two for awhile. And I’m not the least bit upset about it

I just finished and my emotions are still so raw. This book made me feel so much. At times I was smiling and laughing; at times I was so frustrated and wanted to bang my head against the wall; and at other times I was so overcome with emotion, I could hardly catch my breath. Jewel is a master at her craft and I am in awe of her talent. Henna and Bodhi. Bodhi and Henna. I’m pretty sure their story will stick with me for quite some time.
