I absolutely loved this book! If you teach Language Arts this is a must read for you and your students. The lessons encompassed in this book are beautifully woven throughout the story. Easy and quick read.

This book was SUPER good!! Just reading the summary in the front cover intrigued me. This is a great book on how to accept a loss and yourself.

I really enjoyed this book, so much so that I finished it in one day. When I had reached the half-way point and Emilie hadn’t had a seizure, I was prepared to give a less enthusiastic review. But I think the author’s timing for the seizure was absolutely perfect and made the occurrence have a significance that might otherwise have been less effective. While the author didn’t really make any deviations from recognizable tropes of the genre, this book is still well-written and makes an enjoyable addition to my bookshelf.

This book is so lovely and amazing. Great character development and so much emotion in each chapter. It was a great read from start to finish.

My full review can be found on the Epilie Aspie Chick blog!

I have Epilepsy, so it's easy for me to relate to this novel - you very much feel broken in the beginning and want to isolate yourself (it's a natural setting many Epilepsy sufferers never break).

This novel told that struggle well and in an authentic way. There were a few things that didn't play out real well, but they were really minor quibbles at most.

I loved this one and it's well worth the read (especially since it's one of few books nowadays that doesn't get preachy on a topic).

I'm writing this so I don't forget: this was the worst book in the world.

This gave me real A Walk to Remember vibes, but featuring a main character with epilepsy. Juuust what I needed for a weekend read :-)

Loved this!! Loved Emilie. I found her so relatable. Homeschooler, bookworm, writer… she was the coolest.
Chatham was sweet and lovable. Maybe a bit perfect but how can you not like the guy?
Ayla was awesome. Loved her.
Cindy. Precious girl. ❤️
I also ended up really liking and softening towards her mom.

I love how the focus of this story isn’t just the romance. I loved seeing Emilie’s relationship with her mom grow and change. Also watching Emilie grow and heal.

I love how Emily Dickinson’s poetry is such a big part of the story! It was beautiful.

Overall, this was an amazing contemporary.
